The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Condition is good condition for a five year old car. Wheels have slight curb rash that I have painted over to make less noticeable, but can be seen when close or when looking for them. Rexspeed vents slightly yellowed. General wear and tear from daily driving."

The car has roughly 350awhp and is very quick to accelerate.  This car does have the SSS package (sight/sound/spoiler package), which means that it comes with HID lights (will never drive a vehicle without them again), the Rockford-Fosgate speaker system with subwoofer (rated one of the best stock sound systems in a production car), and the larger spoiler.  It also comes with Mitsubishi's FAST key keyless entry system; if you have the key in your pocket or on your person, you can unlock the doors and start up the vehicle without using the key at all.  It is an all-wheel drive car and as such is good through all seasons.  The car's active center differential and super all wheel control allow you to choose the mode the car is driving in from tarmac, to gravel, to snow.  This helps it handle much better in these conditions.  This is one of the best handling cars available to buy.  Car is in great condition; you would be hard pressed to find a car that was taken care of this meticulously around your area.  It runs great, it has been dead-on reliable, and I'm definitely going to miss it!

The vehicle has the following modificatons:

ETS V2 3" exhaust; sounds amazing and really opens up the exhaust much more than the restrictive stock system
Mil-Spec 3" high flow catalytic converter; flows much better than stock catalytic converter and enables the use of the Cobb stage 2 tune
ETS 4" Intercooler with upper and lower intercooler piping; upper intercooler pipe increases horsepower by roughly 10-15whp.  4 inch intercooler rated to 800+ horsepower
AMS intake with Amsoil filter and filter shield; increases horsepower and really lets the engine breathe.  Nice because you can also distinctly hear the sound of the blow-off valve.
18" X 9.5" Flat black Enkei RPF1 wheels with endcaps - Currently fitted with Nitto NT555 tires for daily driving; VEHICLE COMES WITH 4 EXTRA WHEELS (stock Enkei) AND EXTRA SET OF TIRES (Continental Extreme Contact DWS)
Cobb Accessport running AMS intake stage-2 tune - Increases horsepower by approximately +28% over stock and torque by +19% over stock on current AMS stage 2 tune.
TWM short-throw shifter and base bushings with AMS shift knob - Extremely noticeable reduction in shift throw.  Shifts extremely smoothly now.  AMS shift knob is long for easy reach and doesn't get hot.
SSP 2-piece aluminum undertray - Improved vehicle aerodynamics while also providing a solid layer of protection from the elements and potentially damaging terrain
Voltex carbon fiber hood scoop - Very rare in the U.S., this directs larger amounts of air back at the turbocharger for cooling and looks awesome
Rexspeed carbon fiber hood vents - Nice carbon fiber for a good look and helps to vent air out from the engine bay.
Girodisc brake rotors with Girodisc Magic Pads; improves stopping distance without any of the annoying squeak from the stock brakes.

Vehicle comes with ALL stock parts (exhaust, intercooler and piping, catalytic converter, etc)

Never been launched/raced (Still on STOCK CLUTCH as proof); all documention of oil changes and other maintenance has been retained.  Those of you who know these cars know that the ones that are raced/launched and abused usually have a very short clutch lifespan <20,000 miles.
Some minor defects - some curb rash on wheels that have been painted over, minor wear and tear from daily driving.  Carpet is slightly worn in driver's area.

Purchased used in December 2009 from York Mitsubishi in York, PA with roughly 16,000 miles on it.  This car has been SMOKE-FREE during its entire ownership.  I have used the car as my daily driver and have gone back to commuting roughly 150 miles per day with it.  It is still my daily driver so mileage will go up!  I put on roughly 3,000 miles per month.

Buyer responsible for all shipping.  Payment should be cash in hand, cashier's check, or certified money order.  No payment plans.
There is NO WARRANTY on the vehicle and none will be provided during or after the sale.  You are purchasing the vehicle as-is.

NHTSA begins inquiry into Mitsubishi fuel economy

Fri, Apr 22 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants to make sure Mitsubishi doesn't falsify fuel economy ratings in the US like the company does in Japan. "We've requested information from Mitsubishi about this issue," a NHTSA spokesperson told Reuters. The person didn't provide details about the specific models the regulator wanted to know more about. At this time, there's no evidence of fuel economy inaccuracies for any North American models. The affected vehicles in Japan so far are 625,000 small kei-class cars, including the Mitsubishi eK, eK Space, Nissan Dayz, and Dayz Roox, which Mitsu produces for Nissan. However, Japanese regulators are taking a closer look at other models and gave the company a week to hand over test data. A newspaper there claims Mitsubishi allegedly used "non-Japanese test methodology" on the RVR, Outlander, Pajero, and Minicab MiEV. NHTSA's look into Mitsubishi comes at the same time the Department of Justice is scrutinizing Daimler for possible emissions anomalies. "Daimler will consequently investigate possible indications of irregularities and of course take all necessary action," the German automaker said in a statement. The company asserts the DOJ's inquiry is unrelated to a lawsuit from owners, which alleges the BlueTec emissions control system is designed to turn off at low temperatures. Related Video:

Mitsubishi wants a compact pickup for the U.S. market, but won't rush it

Mon, Apr 29 2019

A Mitsubishi dealer told Wards Auto last year that "the most requested model at the brand's U.S. dealer meetings is 'a pickup truck, a pickup truck, a pickup truck.'" This month, Mitsubishi North America's COO told Wards that the carmaker has its eye on getting back to the compact pickup segment in the U.S., but that it will take time. "[We'd] have to have one that's the right fit for Mitsubishi," he said, "for our demographic, and something that's really competitive in the market." That wasn't the case with the last compact pickup the brand sold here, the Raider. A product of the Daimler-Chrysler alliance with Mitsubishi at the time, the Raider was a rebadged Dodge Dakota. The pickup sputtered through four years of meager sales, being pulled from the market in 2009. As part of the Renault-Nissan alliance, Mitsubishi's been put in charge of the group's next midsize body-on-frame platform, Automotive News reports. The chassis will underpin the next-gen Mitsubishi Triton (2019 model pictured), Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan, and if Daimler continues the tie-up with Renault, the next Mercedes X-Class. It sounds like Mitsubishi has already made room for electrification, the COO telling Wards, "you start mixing in some of that electrification technology and these hybrid drivetrains, the aspect of performance is really going to change in the future." The carmaker does very well with its compact Triton pickup, sold in 150 overseas markets under that name as well as L200 and Strada. Wards says LMC Automotive predicts a Triton will come to the U.S. as a 2025 model, but we can't know how similar our model would be to the international model. Our Nissan Frontier, for instance, is not the same as the Frontier sold overseas, the global truck also known as the Navara and NP300. The five-year wait shows Mitsubishi won't be reckless with any new launch now that it has a vision and momentum to protect. The Japanese carmaker has posted sales gains in the U.S. for six straight years. The last two years surpassed 100,000 units, 2018 delivering a 14 percent jump over 2017 in spite of Mitsubishi having just four models on sale here.

2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Quick Spin Review | Deserving of a clean slate

Wed, Apr 18 2018

The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is named after a sport compact coupe, which was iconic to some and a sad reminder of its brand's slide into irrelevance to most others. That "Eclipse" is now attached to a compact SUV will likely cheese off the former and cause the latter to sarcastically mutter, "Yup, that seems about right." Mitsubishi's marketers would say it shares the old Eclipse's "reputation for driving dynamics and technology." Do with that what you will. For now, though, let's put aside what it's called. Well, beyond the fact it's comically long to say and difficult to type (I started calling it the Eagle Talon Cross for those reasons). Because really, the name straps a whole load of baggage to a mostly clean-slate vehicle that in concept is actually a smart move by a brand trying to climb back to relevance. In size, it straddles the line between B- and C-segment compact SUVs. In shape and style, it's set apart from the more utilitarian entries of both. Under the hood, it provides torque-rich turbocharged grunt in contrast to meek naturally aspirated rivals. The ample ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive (on most trims) take a page from the Subaru playbook that's been moving the chains so well. As we discovered when we compared its specs to those of vaguely similar SUVs, the Eclipse Cross is far more intriguing and potentially competitive than originally thought. Perhaps it's unfair to the car itself, but besides all that baggage attached to its name, it's also saddled with the expectations of recent Mitsubishi products that have been uncompetitive, dull or just plain bad. (The i-Miev is the worst and most embarrassing car I've ever driven, and I've driven a Yugo.) In short, the Eclipse Cross warrants a clean-slate appraisal. Sure, it shares its wheelbase with Mitsubishi's two Outlander SUVs and certainly other components as well, but in appearance, touch and driving feel, the Eclipse Cross is profoundly different. This is immediately obvious in the cabin that's far more contemporary in appearance. If you think it looks a bit like the Lexus NX interior, you certainly wouldn't be alone, right down to its touchpad tech interface (more on that later). Materials quality is also strong, and not just in comparison to its brand mates, but to the compact SUV segment as a whole.
