This is a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse completely custom. Purchased about 10 months ago and completely maintained since. It only has only 64,582 miles. We can only speak to what we know about it in the last 10 months. Anything prior we are unaware of.
The interior is gray, black, and turquoise blue. The dash, gauges, air bags, and vents are all custom blue as seen in the photo. It is cloth upholstery dark gray. Interior needs a good cleaning. It is equipped with a AEM fuel/air gauge, boost gauge, and oil pressure gauge right in the windshield frame driver side. Has sunroof, power windows, power locks, dual cd deck, 10" subwoofer and amp, bucket seats, cruise control, and antilock brakes.
The exterior is silver with a black carbon fiber hood. The hood also has a vent to keep the engine nice and cool while driving. Carbon fiber is the hardest material used on vehicles and should be virtually dent proof. Can be re-sanded and poly'd to make it shine if you like. Rear bumper has some paint that is chipped but other than that the body is in great shape. Breaks are also blue to match the interior. Engine and pipes are blue as well. There is a boost controller installed pushing 15lbs of boost pressure currently. This can be adjusted as you upgrade. Plenty of room for additional upgrades in the vehicle.
This is what we have done in the past 9 months.
-New AEM band
-Passenger side Strut tower rebuilt
-New Exhaust Manifold
-New thermostat
-New dual fans
-New map sensors
-10" sub, amp and dual deck 7 months old
-2 New O2 sensors
-New front bumper
-New Cat Converter
-Turbo completely removed and cleaned
-New air filter
Some things you should be aware of...
-Sunroof works but needs to be pushed to get to move on track. Probably needs a readjust. Does not leak or cause any functional issues.
-Fans and thermostat were installed recently due to overheating. Seems to have fixed the problem. Temp will heat up with extensive uphill or stop and go driving.
-Check engine light is ON. It was NY inspected with light on and passed. Was told the EGR was removed in order to make room for the turbo. There is a computer program that will reset the system stating the EGR is still there and will make it so the check engine light goes off. We never felt it was necessary as it has nothing to do with the functionality of the vehicle. You can have the turbo removed and the EGR put back in if you want?!
-May need new breaks for inspection but other than that nothing else is needed.
Only looking to sell as it is not the best "family car" with car seats, infants and toddlers in the back. Would really just love to keep it but just not practical any longer. Vehicle is purchased as is with no warranty.

Mitsubishi president resigns in wake of fuel economy scandal
Wed, May 18 2016Mitsubishi has announced the resignation of two of its top executives as the company is embroiled in a scandal over its fuel-economy figures. Chief among the resignations is Tetsuro Aikawa, the company's president and chief operating officer (pictured above at left, bowing), who assumed the position less than two years ago. Joining Aikawa-san on the way out is Ryugo Nakao, one of three executive vice presidents of the company and the man responsible for product planning and quality at Mitsubishi. Though two of his principal deputies are leaving, the top executive at Mitsubishi retains his seat for the time being. Osamu Masuko (pictured above at right, seated) serves as both chairman and CEO, however with Nissan assuming over a third of the company's ownership, Masuko-san could still be replaced. A shareholders meeting is scheduled for June 24, when Aikawa and Nakao's resignations are set to take effect. According to the statement below, the company "will decide on the successors of both Representative Directors at our board of directors' meeting and make an announcement promptly." The resignations of the top officials come in the wake of revelations that Mitsubishi had falsely reported the fuel-economy figures of its vehicles for decades. The broadening scandal was uncovered when Nissan tested vehicles which Mitsubishi manufactures on its behalf and found discrepancies. As his company prepares to take control of the ailing automaker, Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn says that the greatest challenge will be restoring Mitsubishi's reputation. In a similar development, Suzuki also admitted to improper fuel-economy testing. The rival automaker claims that the measures were taken without the knowledge of senior management. Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
