1991 Mitsubishi Montero - 4x4 Manual
3.0L V6 Engine - 193627 miles The body is in good condition for its age. Maroon/Red/Burgandy Power locks Power windows Newer CD player Large trunk area Clean Title If you are looking for a great vehicle to turn into your new off-road adventurer, or even you new daily driver, this is it! This is one sweet-looking vehicle! Nice trim package with all bells and whistles inside. Nice and tall, awesome off road vehicle. It will take you anywhere! Clean title. Starts every time! New tires. New computer. I really love this car, but I have too many and have decided to finally part ways. *Selling it as is. There are some issues (as would be expected from a car this age), but it still runs really smoothly/good and will get you to and from where you need. The Bad: Few rust spots A bear ripped off part of the back bumper on the corner The power windows roll up a little slowly, but always roll up There is a loose washer that makes a loud racket. I have spoken with numerous mechanics about it and all say there is no safety risk and if I wanted, I could just remove it or pound it into place. However, it does not affect the ability to drive of the car. Please e-mail me if you would like more pictures. Thank you! |

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Tue, 19 Mar 2013A Good Start On Halting The Slide
We'd like to say that Mitsubishi has had a tough time of it lately, but "lately" isn't exactly the proper descriptor since the brand's troubles have slowly built over the past decade or so. It cut back on its marketing and it cut model lines while leaving what remained in the equivalent of a product cryo-freeze. Then there was the financial crash and replacement models that didn't possess the same edge we expected from the house of the triple diamond. There was the lack of a North American chairman to fight for market-specific initiatives, and hence, models that lacked some of the details that US customers desired and that could sway buying choices in close races. True, that's a battle with an overseas headquarters that you'll hear from the US reps for almost every foreign automaker, but as you pile on the obstacles they multiply exponentially, not additionally. Or there's this: For more than a year, while its competition has been trumpeting new product, Mitsubishi hasn't had any new models. Like, at all.
That changes with the arrival of the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, an SUV that we're told will begin a new-product offensive over the next 18 months that - along with a much larger marketing budget - should begin to turn things around. This is the third generation of Mitsubishi's volume model, one that hasn't really been changed since it arrived in 2006 and wasn't just showing its age, but practically crowing about it.
2013 Mitsubishi Outlander GT
Wed, 30 Jan 2013I'm not a gambling man, but if there were a pool for an automotive death watch, my money would be on Mitsubishi... Lincoln is a close second. To understand the plight of Mitsubishi, you only have to look at its current lineup; they all just look, feel and drive about 10 years older than they really are. With the departure of the Endeavor and merciful killing of the Eclipse (the Galant lives on, but is on hiatus for the 2013 model year), one of the worst remaining offenders is the Mitsubishi Outlander, which I recently drove in top-level GT trim for this Quick Spin.
If we had a time machine and took the 2013 Outlander GT back to 1998, it would be revolutionary. If we could take it back to 2004, it might be near the top of its class. But in the current highly competitive crossover segment of today, the Outlander just falls short. Yes, the all-new 2014 Outlander is on its way later this year, but from what we've seen both inside and out, the new design would look great in 2008. That being said, spending a week with any vehicle can point out surprising highs as well as lows, and there are still plenty of reasons to enjoy Mitsu's midsize CUV.
