Mitsubishi: Lancer Evolution Gsr Sedan 4-door on 2040-cars
Wilmington, Delaware, United States
Hey all, time for me to let go of my EVO, I have had it for less than a year and need to let it go due to some unexpected financial situation that has arisen. I am the second owner. The clutch went out 2 days after I bought it and it spent 1 month at Moore Automotive in Fairfax Virginia. It was tuned by Chris Hoover and if you are on the east coast he is defiantly well known for his work with EVO's. The car has Moore automotive intake, Moore automotive open dump downpipes, Moore automotive high flow cat/test pipe, ETS v2 exhaust, 3 port boost controller, Megan street coilovers, circuit wheels 18x10.5+22, hankook ventus evo2 tires 265/35/18, aftermarket headlights(unknown name), AMS CMC and a tune to put down 369hp/379tq. Car is very fast and will defiantly put you in your seat. Transmission service and differential services were done at Moore as well.
I will do my best to answer all questions as soon as possible. E-mail for contact : jesstqddixon@mynet.com

Race Recap: 2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The weather didn't interrupt the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb this year, the sun staying out to shine throughout a mildly cloudy day. The crowds didn't interrupt the race, either. Last year there were incidents like the woman who leaned so far into the road that her camera tore a hole in a speeding Shelby Cobra and she had to be sent to the hospital. This year the organizers shrank the number of spectator viewing areas and put others behind fences, such that long stretches of the route were uninhabited by anything other than varmints.
The only unexpected visitor was a dusty track and what some competitors said were slightly higher temperatures that changed the amount of grip and increased times. Yet the calm let a couple of teams, like that sun, break through the clouds of past misfortune and claim victories they'd been targeting for years.
California adapts ZEV mandate with PHEVs for smaller automakers
Fri, Jun 5 2015California is the nation's largest market for zero-emissions vehicles with over 100,000 of them estimated to be on the roads there. The state's goal is to keep that number growing every year. To that end, the California Air Resources Board is now tweaking its rules in a way that might not boost ZEVs but could mean more plug-in hybrids for the Golden State. Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Volvo asked for an exemption to the state's zero-emissions vehicle mandate last year due to their relatively small development budgets compared to larger automakers. CARB denied their request but did craft a compromise, according to Automotive News. Rather than being required to offer a ZEV in the state, companies with an annual global revenue of less than $40 billion, like those in this group, may instead sell plug-in hybrids to earn ZEV credits. The companies aren't completely off the hook, though. If these plug-in hybrids don't earn enough credits, the corporations must buy them on the market to make up the difference. Automakers with popular electric models like Nissan and Tesla have made a big business through this trading system by selling their surplus to rivals. Tesla alone pocketed $51 million in the first quarter from this part of its business, according to Automotive News. The changes to the regulations also aren't set in stone, yet. CARB is meeting in 2016 and could adjust things further at that time. Mitsubishi profits in North America for first time in seven years
Fri, Apr 24 2015Well, this is a change of pace. Mitsubishi has actually made some money in North America. It's the company's first operating profit in seven years, and while it might only be $4.18 million – yes, Mitsubishi made less in 2014 than some professional athletes – it's definitely a start. Sales in the US were up 19 percent between January and March, to 32,000 units, while 2014's overall sales jumped 21 percent to 117,000 units, Automotive News reports. Perhaps more impressively, the company is predicting a bountiful 2015, with sales up to 128,000 units and operating profits climbing to $58.5 million. If Mitsubishi is doing this with cars like the ancient Lancer and the awful Mirage, we should probably expect some good things when newer, more competent vehicles like the new Outlander hit dealers.
