2005 Mitsubishi EVO MR for sale in exceptional condition. Located in North Raleigh. 2 owners since new, purchased from the original owner with only 25k miles on the clock. Garage kept with beautiful paint and an exceptionally clean body. The MR edition boasts the 6 speed transmission, forged BBS wheels, center differential control, front limited slip diff, Bilstein shocks, lightweight aluminum roof panel, rear vortex generator, etc. It has a modest list of modifications aimed at enhancing the legendary Evo driving experience while increasing reliability and retaining appropriate levels of street comfort - Cobb Accessport ECU, AMS front mount intercooler, AMS LICP, Invidia 3" exhaust, 3" downpipe, Cusco oil catch can, upgraded clutch and flywheel (no chatter, easy to drive in traffic), high flow fuel pump, Defi gauges, tubular exhaust manifold, Greddy Profec B controller, Type S BOV, turbo timer etc.
The car drives phenomenally well. The transmission is perfect - it feels brand new. Precise engagement, excellent throw, impeccable feel. The clutch is strong with no chatter or vibration that one would expect from a heavy duty unit capable of handling all wheel drive power reliably. The diffs have been serviced recently. The entire engine was rebuilt at by AMS ( famous Evo tuners ) and has 60k miles. Forged bottom end, headstuds, etc. It is strong, smooth, and not overly tuned. It is reliable and plenty powerful at the 18 (tapering to 14) lbs of boost it's running. Tires are sticky BF Goodrich G Sports at 60% tread. Brakes are good - factory Brembo. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Final Edition gets official for Japan only
Thu, Apr 16 2015It'll be the end of an era when Mitsubishi discontinues the Lancer Evolution, putting to rest a dynasty that challenged the Subauru WRX STI for decades. But before it does, the Diamond-Star automaker is sending off its most celebrated model with the Final Edition you see here. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near as cool as the concept. While the showcar pumped the output from its 2.0-liter turbo four to 473 horsepower thanks to a remapped ECU and a fresh HKS turbocharger, the production version is sticking with the stock 296 hp. It's otherwise based on the GSR model, so it's got a five-speed gearbox, but packs a long list of top-shelf equipment: BBS alloys, Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, Brembo brakes, Recaro seats... the works. Mitsubishi will only offer 1,000 examples of the Evo X Final Edition in Japan, where buyers will be able to choose between five exterior colors and a contrasting roof in black or white. We don't know at this point whether a similar special will be offered Stateside, but if it is, we hope it'll pack at least some of the concept's power upgrades (we can dream, right?).

Greg Tracy's MiEV Evolution III topped the time sheets almost 14 seconds ahead of third-place Monster Tajima.
On Thursday, qualifying times for six categories were set on the bottom-section switchbacks of Pikes Peak: Electric Modified - near-unlimited showcases of electric-vehicle engineering; Electric Production - electric vehicles "readily available to the public;" Open Wheel - single engine, open wheeled, open cockpit, single seat vehicles; Open - based upon a production or approved-aftermarket-replica vehicle; Exhibition - a prototype or pre-production vehicle limited to one year of eligibility in this class; and Vintage - vehicles and drivelines from 1990 or earlier.
Mitsubishi celebrates 30th anniversary in US with Outlander Sport Limited Edition
Thu, 29 Nov 2012The hurrah of the last kind for the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is this Limited Edition that celebrates 30 years of Mitsubishi Motors in North America. Built in North America as well, the 2013 Outlander Sport Limited Edition gets numerous black trim pieces outside, such as the center bumper, side mirror housings, wheel arch trim and skirting and roof rails. It sits on special Argent wheels.
Open the doors and the darkness continues with available Dove Grey and Black leather seating, and black leather parking brake sleeve, all accented by aluminum brake and accelerator pedals. On this model the six-way power driver's seat is standard. The sole performance mod is a new balancer shaft that makes for quicker acceleration without any penalty in the mileage rating.
