2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Mr Sedan 4-door 2.0l Evo Ix on 2040-cars

US $25,000.00
Year:2006 Mileage:27632
Location:

Shirley, New York, United States

This is one of the lowest mileage evos around. It says I'm the 4th owner but I'm the third . It counted me as two owners when I registered it in NC. The color is rare and hard to find with the MR package. The reason it has such low mileage is because this was my second evo and it stayed garaged most of the time. The car has a brand new OEM Exedy clutch that has about 100 miles on it. It also has brand new tires that were changed at the same time. It has a stock 6 speed transmission and shifts smoothly in every gear (no grinds at all). The car also has various aftermarket parts.

ETS intercooler pipes and intake

Tial BOV

AMS 2.5" intercooler

3" ARC JDM exhaust with 3" downpipe (catalytic converter is removed)

JDM back bumper and I believe JDM headlights and taillights (previous owner installed those)

SD tune and has data cable in glove box for easy tuning

AEM a/f gauge with blue Defi gauge

Alpine deck and pioneer speakers all around

Greddy turbo timer

Battery relocation kit( better for weight distribution) located in truck

Upgraded wastegate

Boost controller

Viper alarm ( great insurance reducer)

DBS 4000 rotors all around ( gold color)

AMS SS brake lines and AMS SS clutch line

Gates timing belt

The car is tuned and puts down about 350hp. This car has had only AMS synthetic oil used for oil changes every 3000 miles. Interior is mint and still smells new. The outside has been waxed and clay bared frequently. I'm trying to be completely honest with this listing. What you see is what you get and car is sold AS IS. First the car has a small spot in the paint on the lip of the car. I transported it from NC to NY on a trailer and getting it off the trailer it bottomed out a little. Second the ABS light is on in the car. It goes off for a few days and comes back on a few days later. I believe its a speed sensor from research online I just haven't had a chance to work on it (If I fix it ill update this).  *Please note* that the car currently doesn't have a check engine light on and was inspected in NC. Every state is different and it may not  pass in your state. The car is tuned on speed density which eliminates some power robbing equipment (please do your research on it before bidding). The title is free and clear and does not have a lien on it. I prefer to sell it to someone in person so I can go over the whole car with them before purchasing but I have shipped cars before and I can ship this one at buyers expense. I can meet anyone wanting to buy the car at a local airport as well. Please message me if you have any additional questions. I can send videos of the car running at driving as well.

Mitsubishi bringing Concept XR-PHEV II to Geneva

Wed, Feb 25 2015

Head to the Geneva Motor Show this year and you'll see what could very well be the next production Mitsubishi. Though dubbed a "concept," the XR-PHEV II is clearly closer to being ready for production than the first XR-PHEV concept it showcased in Toyko back in 2013. Spindly as they may be, this one actually has side mirrors, the bodywork is a little toned down compared to the previous concept, there are actual openings in the grille, and you can actually see what looks like a functional interior through the windows. Overall the shape of this urban crossover looks promising, reminding us a bit of the Lamborghini Urus concept crossed with a Lancer Evo. But at least as important is what's under the hood. That's where Mitsubishi has placed its latest plug-in hybrid powertrain. The system includes an electric motor good for 160 horsepower, juiced by a 12-kWh battery. Strangely, the Japanese automaker hasn't specified what it's mated to, exactly, except to say that it's a MIVEC engine – those being the letters Mitsubishi uses for its variable valve timing system and utilized on gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 1.0 to 3.8 liters and from three cylinders to six. The previous concept, however, utilized a 1.1-liter turbo three with 134 hp on tap. It looks like we'll have to wait closer to its debut for further details and photos, but for now you can scope out all there is to know so far in the press release below. MITSUBISHI MOTORS AT 2015 GENEVA INTERNATIONAL MOTORSHOW Feb 25, 2015 TOKYO - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will unveil the global debut of the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II[1] as well as the European premiere of the L200[2] pick-up truck at the 85th Geneva International Motor Show[3]. The Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II is a small SUV powered by a new plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) system and the all-new L200 is due to go on sale in Europe this summer. The Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II is a small SUV concept expected to be MMC's second PHEV following the Outlander PHEV launched in the UK in April, 2014. The new PHEV system presented in the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II is a lightweight, compact and high-efficiency front-engine/front-drive system ideal for an urban crossover. The system is estimated to achieve very low CO2 emissions of below 40 g/km, among the lowest of any PHEV, while also delivering gutsy and smooth performance with excellent response with its 163PS electric motor.

Mitsubishi fuel economy scandal will result in $1.39 billion loss

Wed, Jun 22 2016

The fuel economy scandal revealed a couple months ago will cost Mitsubishi Motors a pretty penny. According to The New York Times, the Japanese automaker predicted the fiscal year 2016 will result in a loss of 145 billion yen, or $1.39 billion. We won't know for sure until March rolls around. The prediction is even more striking when compared to Mitsubishi's performance during the last few years. It will be Mitsubishi's first reported loss in eight years. In 2014, Mitsubishi reported a global profit of $1.2 billion, which doubled the profits of the previous year, and in the spring of 2015 the US arm of the manufacturer reported its first profits in seven years – $4.18 million. For a little while there, it seemed like things were looking really good for Mitsubishi, but past flaws caught up with it. Some of the models built have had their fuel economy readings rounded by as much as 15 percent, due to the way running resistance is calculated in laboratory conditions. Nissan swept in to buy one third of Mitsubishi, and under the Renault-Nissan alliance it is likely Mitsubishi will be put on a crash course to clear its name and start turning a profit again. But the bad publicity caused by the scandal will probably mean it'll be far in the future. Related Video:

Japan plans real-world diesel emissions test after companies fail

Fri, Mar 4 2016

Japan's transport ministry plans to start real-world diesel emissions tests after an experiment found four models from Toyota, Nissan, and Mitsubishi that produced more nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions than the nation's rules allow, according to The Japan Times. Regulators there usually only perform emissions checks in the lab. The VW diesel scandal has everyone double-checking their figures. Diesel versions of the Toyota Hiace van, Land Cruiser Prado, and Nissan X-Trail produced up to 10 times more NOx than allowed. The Mitsubishi Delica D:5 was up to five times over the limit, The Wall Street Journal reports. There was no evidence of defeat devices in the vehicles. Mazda performed well in the experiment, though. The CX-5 passed with nearly the same results on the road and in the lab. The Demio, better known as the Mazda2, did nearly as well with only slighter higher figures in the real world than in the controlled setting. The experimenters theorized the reason for the excessive emissions was that cold weather caused the engines' software to shut off the exhaust gas recirculation to prevent damage, according to the WSJ. However, this behavior also increased NOx production. Toyota, Nissan, and Mitsubishi don't have to worry about punishment from the transport ministry because this check was just an experiment. Their models already passed the mandated lab tests, which was the only requirement, according to The Japan Times. As governments begin greater real-world emissions tests, the results suggests diesels aren't very clean. A recent check in France found models from Ford, Renault, and Mercedes-Benz that didn't perform up to the standards. Regulators in India conducted similar evaluations and ordered VW to recall over 300,000 vehicles. Related Video:
