Up for auction is my 2004 Lancer Ralliart. I purchased this car new back in February of 2004, and have been the only primary driver of this car in the ten years that I have owned it. Around 2,000 miles, I changed all fluids to synthetic and that has remained the same for the life of this car. I have kept methodical maintenance on this car and possibly even a little excessive over the years. Oil has been changed every 3,500-4,000 miles with Royal Purple and Wix filters, Brake fluid has been fully changed with Motul RBF 600 every 20-25,000 miles, Radiator/cooling system flushed every 25,000 miles, Thermostat replaced with performance 160 degree unit (replacing the 190 degree OEM one), Transmission fluid changed with BG Synchro-shift II every 25-30,000 miles.  Transmission rebuilt by Honea Mitsubishi in Albertville, AL due to an input shaft bearing recall a few years ago. Clutch replaced with a Clutchmasters stage 1 clutch about 10,000 miles ago. New front and rear motor mounts, new oxygen sensors, outer tie rod ends done about 15,000 miles ago, timing belt done around 85-90,000, good brakes, 75-80 percent tread left on tires.. All speakers have been replaced with JBL component speakers (6 1/2's and tweeters), Upgraded speaker wire throughout car, Kenwood head unit with bluetooth, iPod/iPhone control, satellite radio ready, AUX input, etc. The 10inch subwoofer is mounted in the OEM enclosure for a clean look.

Runs great, drives better, looks far better than a 10 year old daily driven car normally does. No leaks, no smoke, mechanically sound. I have never had a mechanical issue with the engine...Only things I have had to replace are the cooling fan controller and acceleration sensor. The car was rear-ended on Dec. 25, 2011. Rear bumper cover and right tail light were replaced along with minor pulling of the right rear corner.

Quick little mod list that will go with the car is as follows:

Custom Intake
HKS Circle Earth kit
Custom 2.5" catback exhaust
Evo 8 RS gauge cluster
Custom Bride shift boot

Carbon shift knob
AMS underhood shifter bushings
AMS shifter base bushings
Clutchmasters Stage I clutch
Poly
sway bar bushings
Swift spec-R springs
KYB GR2's
Front strut tower brace (stock)
R1 drill / slot rotors
Ceramic pads
16x7 XXR 002's
Falken rubber (80percent tread)
Depo projectors
Evo IX vortex generator
Short antenna
Hella supertones
25% tint all around
Glowshift Oil psi, A/F, and boost/vacuum gauges
 Kenwood head unit
JBL F&R component speakers
Fosgate Prime R250-1 amp
Sony subwoofer
OEM enclosure

I think that's about it as for whats on the car now. Also, stock and aftermarket parts not on the car that I have will go with the car:

OEM cluster, Spare dash trim, OEM springs, OEM seats,
Powerflex roll-stop front mount, DDM Tuning HID kit, and a few other things...

The car does need a few things (expected with older cars) that I have not taken the time to diagnose or repair...sunroof seal (doesn't leak when closed, just ripped), headlights (pass.side spider cracked), driver door lock does not lock with button (no idea why..locks/unlocks with key fine),
Sunroof sometimes acts goofy (opens/closes fine..hangs up..then open/closes fine again), front lip needs to be replaced (looks fine, just broken clips),has few dings, chips, and scratches, Rear defrost does not work (guy that re-tinted window peeled parts of ceramic off the glass), the A/F gauge needs signal wire hooked back up (replaced o2 sensors and didn't re-connect), Oil psi gauge needs new sensor and signal wire (roughly 20 bucks from GlowShift)... not much else.

The mileage listed is not actual mileage. I replaced the OEM gauge cluster with a cluster from a 2003 Lancer Evolution that had more miles listed as my car actually had. I will gladly reinstall OEM cluster and calculate actual mileage on the car if you desire.

I have too much in this car to let it go dirt cheap...and I feel that I am asking a reasonable price.  I will tell you anything you would like to know about the car..just ask. I will also do my best to provide any specific pictures you may want/need...again, just ask. I will be straight forward about everything on/in this car. I have no hesitations about driving this car anywhere...I recently drove it 12 hours to Cocoa, FL for vacation and would do it again tomorrow if needed.

I have taken great care of this car and have enjoyed every moment of driving it. I still love driving the car..and I do it often. I do not have to sell, as I have another Lancer as my primary vehicle..I am just seeing if anyone wants a reliable, fun car to drive.

I do have this car listed locally for 6,000 obo...and I will end auction if sold locally. This is a reserve auction, and I will not remove or lower the reserve price unless I see fit.

If I get the full 6,000 dollar asking price, the car will be sold as it sits, with everything and extra parts I have. Any less than 6,000, the Bride seats WILL NOT GO (still have OEM seats and will install) as well as the Aeroforce scan gauge WILL NOT GO). No exceptions.

Mitsubishi refreshes the Triton truck for 2019

Fri, Nov 9 2018

In September, Mitsubishi showed a teaser image of the new, redesigned Triton/L200 truck that refreshes the model originally introduced in 2014. Now, the new truck is here, except not here in the sense of being sold in the United States. Alas, we can hope. The new Triton/L200 is a global truck in the sense that it'll be sold in some 150 countries around the world, from Europe to Africa and Oceania, the Middle East and Latin America, but North America isn't part of the plan. Sales start Nov. 17 in Thailand, where the truck is built. Some 180,000 global yearly sales are planned. Looking at the photos released by Mitsubishi, the truck's nose has gained the new corporate styling direction that can also be seen on the Outlander, the Eclipse Cross, and even the re-facelifted Lancer that is sold in some countries. The front design is called "Dynamic Shield" in corporate Mitsubishi language, pointing to the more pronounced grille-intake combo with chrome effect. Otherwise, the basics of the Triton remain as before, with the truck likely to keep the time-honored 4G64 2.4-liter gasoline engine and two inline four diesel options. There are two 4WD systems on offer, either Super Select or Easy Select. Like we said in September, the small truck segment is hotly contested in the U.S. right now, and the Triton, were it sold in the States, would compete against the Tacoma, the Colorado and the Canyon, the Ford Ranger, and a possible Ram truck that would slot underneath the 1500. But the 25 percent Chicken Tax it's subjected to as a foreign-built truck makes it impossible to compete. The currently sold Ranger T6 is originally of Australian design, and as well as being made in Michigan it is also produced in Thailand like the Triton. Related Video:

Lexus tops JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study again, Buick bests Toyota

Wed, Feb 25 2015

It shouldn't surprise anyone, but Lexus has once again taken the top spot in JD Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. That'd be the Japanese luxury brand's fourth straight year at the top of table. The big news, though, is the rise of Buick. General Motor's near-premium brand beat out Toyota to take second place, with 110 problems per 100 vehicles compared to Toyota's 111 problems. Lexus owners only reported 89 problems per 100 vehicles. Besides Buick's three-position jump, Scion enjoyed a major improvement, jumping 13 positions from 2014. Ram and Mitsubishi made big gains, as well, moving up 11 and 10 positions, respectively. In terms of individual segments, GM and Toyota both excelled, taking home seven segment awards each. The study wasn't good news for all involved, though. A number of popular automakers finished below the industry average of 147 problems per 100 vehicles, including Subaru, (157PP100), Volkswagen (165PP100), Ford/Hyundai (188PP100 each) and Mini (193PP100). The biggest losers (by a tremendous margin, we might add) were Land Rover and Fiat, recording 258 and 273 problems per 100 vehicles. The next closest brand was Jeep, with 197PP100. While the Vehicle Dependability Study uses the same measurement system as the Initial Quality Survey, the two metrics analyze very different things. The VDS looks at problems experienced by original owners of model year 2012 vehicles over the past 12 months, while the oft-quoted IQS focuses on problems in the first 90 days of new-vehicle ownership. Like the IQS, though, the VDS has a rather broad definition of what a problem is. Because of that, a low score from JD Power is no guarantee of extreme unreliability, so much as just poor design. In this most recent study, the two most reported problems focused on Bluetooth connectivity and the voice-command systems. The former leaves plenty of room for user error due to poor design (particularly true of the Bluetooth systems on the low-scoring Fords, Volkswagens and Subarus), while the second is something JD Power has already confirmed as being universally terrible. That makes means that while these studies are important, they shouldn't be taken as gospel when it comes to automotive reliability. Mitsubishi admits to tampering with fuel economy data

Wed, Apr 20 2016

Mitsubishi admitted this week to intentionally rigging fuel-economy testing in four of its models sold in Asia. The affected models are all so-called Kei class cars with sub-660cc engines manufactured at Mitsubishi's Mizushima plant in Okayama, Japan. About 157,000 of those cars are Mitsubishi eK wagons and eK Space models, and 468,000 are re-badged Nissan Dayz and Dayz Roox cars, which Mitsubishi produces for Nissan. The matter came to light after Nissan found inconsistencies in reported mileage data, which then led to Mitsubishi launching an internal investigation. The fraud was discovered to be related to falsified tire pressure data, which has an effect on mileage results – an important matter considering these kinds of vehicles are marketed by fuel economy. Mitsubishi said it has stopped manufacturing and marketing the affected vehicles. The news caused Mitsubishi's stock to plummet over 15 percent, slicing $1.2 billion off the company's value. When the eK models hit the market three years ago, they were decorated with a Good Design Award by the Japanese Ministry of Economy – a merit that is now surely tarnished. While Mitsubishi has been suffering in the US recently, with news of the Normal, Illinois plant closing, its small Mirage model has sold well.
