ALLISON 4SP AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

16 FOOT FLAT BED

314,617 MILES

Need a flat bed work truck for a good price well here it is.  We just drove this truck 1 1/2 hours on the highway at 60mph and it ran great down the road.  The motor starts right up every time and idles smooth.  The motor is strong and the turbo puts out tons of power as it should.  The 4sp Allison transmission shifts smooth through all the gears with no issues.  There is an idle control in the cab that works, so if you wanted to hook up a water pump or a PTO there is already a idle control in the cab and it works.  This is a work truck and has been used as a work truck so don't expect the truck to be perfect, although if you need a work truck to get the job done then this is the truck for you.  There is a lot of life still left in this truck.  This truck will haul about any size load you need with the 17,617 GVWR rating and a 16 foot bed.

If you have any questions please give me a call 309-333-6796(Tom).

Please look at all the pictures.

This truck is being sold through a dealer.  All Illinois residents tax, title and plate fees apply.  Out of state residents there are NO other fees just the purchase price of the truck.

This Mitsubishi dealer's rap ad is so bad it's awesome

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Sometimes you stumble upon something online that is so incredibly, bad that there is actually something great about. With that in mind, Southside Mitsubishi in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, might have created one of the worst/best automotive raps we've ever seen.
While there is no way the dealership went into this video thinking it would actually be good, it's hard to imagine it could have ended up so incredibly cheesy. Whether it's the frontman who looks like Vladimir Putin on his worst day ever, the extras who clearly don't want to be there or the inexplicable reference to that Baha Men classic, "Who Let The Dogs Out?" this video is a black hole of suffering - there is no escape. We knew things were bad at Mitsubishi, and man, this isn't helping.
Scroll down to inflict this awful awesomeness on yourself, and remind yourself of the infamous Swagger Wagon from Toyota to see that not all ironic automotive rapping has to be painful.

Mitsubishi profits in North America for first time in seven years

Fri, Apr 24 2015

Well, this is a change of pace. Mitsubishi has actually made some money in North America. It's the company's first operating profit in seven years, and while it might only be $4.18 million – yes, Mitsubishi made less in 2014 than some professional athletes – it's definitely a start. Sales in the US were up 19 percent between January and March, to 32,000 units, while 2014's overall sales jumped 21 percent to 117,000 units, Automotive News reports. Perhaps more impressively, the company is predicting a bountiful 2015, with sales up to 128,000 units and operating profits climbing to $58.5 million. If Mitsubishi is doing this with cars like the ancient Lancer and the awful Mirage, we should probably expect some good things when newer, more competent vehicles like the new Outlander hit dealers.

Not a dry eye in the house for last Mitsubishi Evo X video

Fri, Oct 2 2015

Say what you will about the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution; we're going to miss this one when it's gone. Japan's rally car for the street is officially being phased out, and production is ending in Japan. But not before one Final Edition, and a final video showing the turbocharged, all-wheel-drive wonder being built. In Japan, the Final Edition is limited to a run of just 1,000 units. It's based on the GSR model with the five-speed manual transmission, but comes with performance goodies like Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, and more. See it for yourself in the gallery, below. Over the course of 23 years, there have been 10 generations of the Lancer Evolution. And while Evo X might not be our favorite (this author much prefers Evo IX, for what it's worth), it's still sad to see Mitsubishi's iconic, winged sedan head to the grave. A sign of the times, Mitsubishi says the Evo "will be replaced in spirit" by a high-power, hybrid SUV. That's a tall order, and doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, but we'll see. For now, say goodbye to the Evo X by watching the final production video, above. And just be thankful Subaru still makes its lovely WRX STI.
