2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Gsr Sedan 4-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Charlottesville, Virginia, United States
Selling my 2010 Lancer Evolution X.
This was my dream car since I was a kid and three years ago I was able to fulfill that dream. I bought the car with only 2 miles on it. Broke it in according to the manual and took care of it the best I could. This is the biggest financial investment for me up to date, so I really took care of it. I'm the only owner and the only driver of this car, so if you have any questions let me know. Changed the oil every 3K miles with Mobil 1 until turbo upgrade, (will get to that later), after that Amsoil Dominator oil. I just completed 30K serivce, changed all fluids (transfer case, transmission, Rear diff, AYC) spark plugs. This is modded car. It was tuned at CBRD a state of art facility by Chad Block a professional race car driver. http://www.cbrdspeedfactory.com/ I wanted my car to produce a substantial amount of power without opening up the engine. I installed components that would make the car breathe better and really open it up, without compromising drivability. I also upgraded the turbo to BBX Lite. Spools almost like stock but produces more power especially at higher rpm's where stock turbo runs out of breath. I thought about installing a bigger turbo than this, but that would only make the car very laggy and it honestly would not be as fun. You would have to almost redline the car to feel the power kick in. This turbo has a much wider power band and when you do step on it, it really pulls. At this point the car is 160 HP over stock evo X. Faster than almost any car on the road. It sounds and feels great. I have had it tuned at this level for over a year, so it is very dependable.\ Also this is a modest tune not aggressive at all. If pushed this turbo could net another 40 hp No leaks or mechanical defects. Ready to drive. I have put over 7K into this car, not counting any install/labor costs or tuning costs. If you want a fast, reliable car that is ready to drive, feel free to come over and see for yourself. Here are parts installed:\ BBX LiteTurbo $1950.00 (now they only make ball bearing,
this is journal bearing) Ball bearing are $2500.00 Perrin Intercooler $750.00 http://perrinperformance.com/i-13324027-front-mount-intercooler-for-evo-x.html\ Agency Power Intake $300.00 http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/agency-power-short-intake-mitsubishi-p-47507.html?osCsid=pjp6s24u1krnpufj5dut8rahr5 Perrin Turbo Air inlet $120.00 http://perrinperformance.com/i-13324033-turbo-inlet-hose-for-evo-x.html Synapse BOV $225.00 http://synapseengineering.pinnaclecart.com/index.php?p=product&id=567 Ultimate Racing UICP $175.00 http://www.ultimate-racing.com/Products2/EvoX/EvoX_UpperICPipeKit.shtml Injector Dynamics Injectors 1000cc $460.00 http://www.lancershop.com/customer/product.php?productid=6634 BlaqOps Fuel Pump Kit $269.00 http://www.speedelement.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=344&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=2722&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 Extreme Turbo Systems V2 Catback Exhaust $958.00 http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/ETS-Mitsubishi-Evo-X-and-Evolution-X-V2-Exhaust-System.html Extreme Turbo Systems o2 downpipe $649.00 http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/ETS-Mitsubishi-Evo-X-and-Evolution-X-Dump-O2-Eliminator-Downpipe.html Turbo XS High Flow Cat 269.00 http://turboxs.com/shop/mitsubishi/171-evolution-x-high-flow-cat-pipe.html Eiback Pro springs $225.00 http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Eibach-Pro-Kit-Lowering-Springs-Mitsubishi-EVO-X-2008-2011 TWM Short throw shifter $213.00 http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshifters/mitsubishishortshifters/2008-mitsubishi-evo-x-shortshifters.htm Gauges (boost + Air/fuel) $320.00 http://www.amazon.com/AEM-30-4100-UEGO-Controller-Gauge/dp/B000CFQM4G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390252166&sr=8-1&keywords=AEM+gauges Hawk Ceramics brake pads on front and back $300.00 I'm not interested in any trades. Reason for selling: I have another car which is paid off. Although I will miss this car and probably will regret for selling it, at this time I just don't want a car payment. I need to stabilize myself and my financial situation. Thank you for bidding I have included a dyno graph in the pictures. As you can see car is making 383 HP to the wheels with only 25 psi boost! My stock turbo was running 27 psi. Keep in mind that this is a Mystang Dyno. On this dyno stock Evo X with 290 HP to the motor makes 225-230 HP to the wheels. So with this turbo, this car is 450+HP car. It can easily make more power with more aggressive tuning and timing. I have had it tuned at this level for over a year, so it is very dependable. |

Europe on track to buy more PHEVs than hybrids by 2019
Mon, Apr 27 2015LMC Automotive, formerly the forecasting division of J.D. Power & Associates, predicts that plug-in hybrids will sell better than conventional hybrids by 2019. By 2021, it envisions PHEV sales at 600,000 units yearly compared to 325,000 standard hybrid sales, and by 2024 PHEV sales are expected to account for 1.2 million sales every year. Part of LMC's prediction is based on a few factors, such as that it believes "electric-only operation will come to be seen as a true luxury characteristic and will be prized sufficiently to command significant premiums." Certain PHEVs are helped in countries like the UK and The Netherlands by generous incentives or other perks, like avoiding inner London's congestion charge, that allow them to address their price differences compared to standard offerings. And the number of PHEVs on the market will soon eclipse regular hybrids, coming from makers across the spectrum. Volvo has twice recently, and only belatedly, learned of the popularity of PHEVs: in 2013 it had to triple production of the V60 PHEV, and just this month it said demand for its XC90 PHEV is four times expectations. The Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid is outselling the traditional hybrid Panamera by more than seven-to-one. And then there's Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Europe's best-selling PHEV with 19,855 units, a volume more than three times larger than the second-best seller. Although LMC sees hybrid growth slowing, they're still doing well. Toyota and Lexus build the top-five selling traditional hybrids in Europe, combining for 72 percent of European sales, with the new Auris and Yaris hybrids alone selling 123,506 units in 2014. For LMC's forecast to come true, Europe will need a spectacular change in buying habits, since the top ten conventional hybrids tallied 175,847 sales in 2014, and the top ten PHEVs rang up 36,138 sales. Recharge Wrap-up: Phoenix Cars delivers ZEUS to Navy, Volt saves gas compared to i-MiEV
Thu, Apr 23 2015Phoenix Cars has delivered its first Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle (ZEUS) flatbed truck to the US Navy. The electric flatbed will be used to transport maintenance materials around Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme. The Phoenix ZEUS features a 100-mile range, and can charge in just three hours. It also features vehicle-to-grid technology and direct power capability, allowing it to function as a mobile power station. ZEUS customers enjoy an eight-year/300,000-mile battery warranty and round-the-clock technical support from Phoenix. Phoenix launched an electric passenger shuttle last year, and years ago worked on an electric sport utility truck before shifting over to larger vehicles. Read more in the press release from Phoenix Cars. A man found that he used less gas by trading in his Mitsubishi i-MiEV for a Chevrolet Volt. Ben Rich saved fuel in part by using his Volt for road trips rather than needing to rent cars. Rich also found other benefits to driving a Volt, including more comfort, more freedom of movement and less range anxiety. Rich often had to turn off the heat in the winter to eke out precious miles in the Mitsubishi, which he needn't do in the Chevy, though he did have a gripe about the Volt using the gas motor to warm the car. ChargePoint has tallied over 9 million charging sessions for a total of 65 gigawatt hours of energy. Based on national efficiency averages of three miles per kWh and 23.9 miles per gallon, this has saved 8.2 million gallons of gasoline and 60 million pounds of CO2. This accounts for what ChargePoint calls a "huge environmental impact." Read more in the release from ChargePoint below. The Environmental Impact of ChargePoint Drivers Campbell, Calif.– We all know electric vehicles (EV) have enormous environmental advantages over gas vehicles. Plug-in EVs reduce carbon-based greenhouse gases, improve air quality and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. EV drivers on the ChargePoint network have had a huge environmental impact. With over 9 million charging sessions delivering 65 gigawatt hours of energy, EV drivers have avoided over 60 million pounds of CO2 and 8.2 million gallons of gasoline, and driven over 196 million gas-free miles. *Based on national averages: EV efficiency of 3 miles per kWh, gas efficiency of 23.9 mpg and a net savings of 0.924 pounds of CO2 per kWh.
California adapts ZEV mandate with PHEVs for smaller automakers
Fri, Jun 5 2015California is the nation's largest market for zero-emissions vehicles with over 100,000 of them estimated to be on the roads there. The state's goal is to keep that number growing every year. To that end, the California Air Resources Board is now tweaking its rules in a way that might not boost ZEVs but could mean more plug-in hybrids for the Golden State. Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Volvo asked for an exemption to the state's zero-emissions vehicle mandate last year due to their relatively small development budgets compared to larger automakers. CARB denied their request but did craft a compromise, according to Automotive News. Rather than being required to offer a ZEV in the state, companies with an annual global revenue of less than $40 billion, like those in this group, may instead sell plug-in hybrids to earn ZEV credits. The companies aren't completely off the hook, though. If these plug-in hybrids don't earn enough credits, the corporations must buy them on the market to make up the difference. Automakers with popular electric models like Nissan and Tesla have made a big business through this trading system by selling their surplus to rivals. Tesla alone pocketed $51 million in the first quarter from this part of its business, according to Automotive News. The changes to the regulations also aren't set in stone, yet. CARB is meeting in 2016 and could adjust things further at that time.
