2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt Coupe 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Prospect, Virginia, United States
I am selling my 2002 Mitsubishi eclipse gt as is. Its a great car. 5 speed. v6. cold a/c and good heat. I have had the car for about 5 months now and love it but I am a jeep man at heart and would like to get a jeep. The engine is strong and runs smooth, as far as I know there is nothing mechanically wrong with the car. The mechanics thought it was a great car underneath to. The sunroof works but needs alittle help opening. I just replaced the power steering belt and all the spark plugs were replaced when I bought the car. The oil was also changed. There is either a fuse out or its a ground wire for my gauge cluster lights, they come on when they want to, I'm not sure what is wrong. I don't believe its a big deal at all. All the other lights work great. If you would like, i can try and fix it before sell. Its strong and fast. I don't want to fool anyone, the paint is all shined up for the photos, it cleans up really nice, but the paint has some fading here and there, just common wear and tear on a vehicle. The wing is faded just like all the rest. The price is negotiable, so make me an offer, no low ballers. thanks. I will not ship the car, pick up or if its not to far, i can meet somewhere. Email, text or call me. 434- five four seven- 9540. Im zach

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander unveiled with new look, standard seating for seven
Thu, 29 Nov 2012The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander wears the new face previewed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and adds a host of features on top of its seven standard chairs. Ditching the shark-nosed Lancer-inspired front has reduced drag, increased use of high-tensile steel means a 200-pound weight loss and the reworked 2.4-liter four-cylinder paired a CVT will all result in what Mitsubishi says is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the seven-passenger segment. Looks-wise, around the rest of the vehicle come sharper sculpting and more character lines.
Reaching higher inside, the IP is now soft-touch, and a heavily restyled interior with woodgrain accents is more somber, but more elegant. Mod-cons have gone up a step, too: the 2014 Outlander getting a next-generation nav system, a power tailgate that can be opened from the driver's seat and safety tech like Lane Departure Warning.
There's a press release below with more info, and high-res shots from the LA Auto Show floor above.
2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport models with leather seats recalled over airbag fears
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Mitsubishi is recalling 733 of its 2013 Outlander Sports that were fitted with leather seat covers due to problems with the seat-mounted airbags. Apparently, the wiring for the airbags may have been routed incorrectly when the seat covers were installed at the port.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration bulletin, the issue only really crops up if owners adjust the height of the seats. Naturally, if the seat wiring is damaged, the airbag may not deploy in the event of a side impact.
The affected vehicles were all manufactured between July 20, 2012 and May 29, 2013. There have been no reported injuries or accidents due to this issue. Mitsubishi, meanwhile, will begin notifying owners, who will need to report to their local dealer for free inspections or repairs. Take a look below for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Toyota, Mazda drop Takata as Mitsubishi, Subaru weigh options
Sat, Nov 7 2015It's not a very good time to be Takata right now. Fresh on the heels of longtime partner Honda ditching them, Toyota and Mazda have both come out and said they will not use the company's airbag inflators if they continue to rely on ammonium nitrate. Bloomberg reports that Subaru and Mitsubishi are also contemplating a divorce. "The inflator using ammonium nitrate produced by Takata will not be adopted by Toyota," President Akio Toyoda said during a briefing today. "What's most important above anything else is the safety and peace of mind of customers." Mazda echoed that position, simply saying it "will not use Takata airbag inflators which contain ammonium nitrate in our new cars." When you lose three huge OEM accounts in as many days, it's certainly going to have a deleterious effect on your fortunes. In Takata's case, that's meant a staggering 39-percent drop in their share price over the last three days. Yesterday alone, the company saw a 6.2-percent fall, Bloomberg reports. As the business publication reports, though, Takata isn't going down without a fight. The company is "considering some plans to survive," including a fundraising plan that will see it potentially offer up additional shares for sale. Still, at least one analyst doesn't see whatever company survives staying involved in the airbag inflator business. "I really don't see how they're going to be able to survive as an inflator manufacturer," Valient Market Research founder Scott Upham told Bloomberg. "When your major clients publicly come out and say that they're not going to use your products anymore, it makes this very difficult to sustain your business."
