Tein Adjustable Coil Over Suspension

I am only the 2nd owner. No accidents, clean title in hand with no issues. Low mileage w/ only 68k miles. No major mods or upgrades so not abused. I believe the car had every possible option installed for the GS-T (turbo model). One of the stock struts leaked so I used that as an opportunity to upgrade to a full Tien adjustable coil over system.

As described in the condition section, the car is currently not running. It was stationary for over a year while I had to travel to the west coast for work. When I came back it would not start and not really sure why. I tried a known working battery but that did not help. I'm convinced the problem is with the starting system but I'm not really sure. Body is free from any major dents but there are a few small dings. There is some paint fade on the roof and small area on the hood from sitting in the sun.

When the car was running it had good pull, especially when the turbo spooled and kicked in. She was a ton of fun to drive and have great memories with her. I am moving to the west coast permanently so need to sell this car while I am back here in NY.

I was told that the 4G63T engine in this car (same as the original Mitsubishi Evolution) was popular and that there might be interest in a car with such low mileage. I figured I would post it for sale here to see if there is any interest. It would be nice to know that she will go somewhere and get fixed up and be well taken care of. I need to have the car removed in the a couple of weeks so if there is no interest I will be forced to donate it for a tax write off.

Please note that the car will need to be picked up and towed away. If you are out of town and want it shipped you will need to coordinate the details although I will help in any way that I can.

**I also have the following brand new items which I purchased but never got to install in the car.
They are also up for sale but are NOT part of, or included in this auction.
If you are purchasing the car we can negotiate a price for the entire package.
Or, if you have any interest in the follow items please send me a message and I can put them up on another Ebay auction.

Injen Intake System w/ BOV Dump
Greddy SP2 Exhaust
2.5" Mandrel Bend Stainless Street Downpipe w/ Flex
2.5" High-Flow Catalytic Converter
(2) O2 Sensor Housings
A bunch of new oil filters
New high amp alternator

The car is located in Yonkers, NY. I am posting a few pics here. If you want additional pics, or have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

Thanks for looking..!

A realistic approach to fixing Mitsubishi

Tue, May 24 2016

There are going to be a lot of words written about what Nissan needs to do with Mitsubishi in the coming months and years in the interest of turning the brand around. After Nissan's purchase of a controlling stake in the diamond star brand, there's been more interest in Mitsubishi thanks to the potential of platform sharing and plenty of cash from Nissan-Renault to get the juices flowing again. But, while some have been doing their best to advocate for the return of the 3000GT, Evolution, and even the Starion - Many of these posts forget the reality of the market we live in today. As much as we like to look back fondly at the sports coupes of the '90s, a byproduct of the insane cash flows all the Japanese manufacturers had at the time, the reality of today puts a much greater emphasis on what is most-boring; Crossover SUVs, alongside mid-size and compact sedans. We do need to ask a fundamental question, how much Mitsubishi is enough to be able to continue to call the cars Mitsubishis? Aside from slight product revisions and reconfigurations, Mitsubishi (at least in North America) has been largely dependent on the same GS platform and 4B1 engines that date back to their long-time partnership with Chrysler (and Hyundai) in the mid '00s. Admittedly, the chassis and engines have served the company well, underpinning a wide variety of vehicles sold around the world, and seeing quite a few revisions to at least attempt to keep products competitive. But, the GS chassis is old, heavy, and severely out of date - and when matched to the underpowered 4B1 series engines - make for largely uncompetitive offerings in the market. While something like the Outlander Sport is indeed interesting compared to a Honda CR-V, it is by no means the smart choice in the segment. So, going forward, unless Mitsubishi has had a skunkworks of sorts developing their chassis and engine replacements over the past few years, what exactly are they planning to do for their bread-and-butter models? I think the straightforward answer is without a doubt the Nissan North America parts bin. With so many of their models selling well, and for the most part, are reasonably well-reviewed, it would be quite simple to adapt the chassis and powertrain to Mitsubishi's liking to create a high-volume alternative to what is currently available now.

nuTonomy beats Uber to launch first self-driving taxi

Thu, Aug 25 2016

In the cutthroat world of technology, if you're not first, you're last. With this in mind, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see tech companies and automakers clawing to be first in line to release self-driving cars. Uber recently partnered with Volvo in a $300-million project that should result in a self-driving fleet as early as next month. But amazingly, a 3-year-old company called nuTonomy has beat Uber to the punch by launching the world's first self-driving taxi in Singapore. Cambridge, MA,-based nuTonomy has been privately testing self-driving vehicles in Singapore since April and is now allowing select residents in the city's one-north business district to be driven around in its self-driving taxis for free. Customers will be able to summon one of nuTonomy's self-driving taxis through the company's app and will be picked up in a Renault Zoe or Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric car modified for autonomous driving. While the taxi will drive itself, an engineer from nuTonomy will ride in the vehicle to ensure that the car is operating properly and will take over if needed. There's no word on how many self-driving taxis nuTonomy put on the road, but the trials take the company one step closer to launching its fully autonomous fleet by 2018. The Wall Street Journal's Jake Watts managed to get a ride in one of nuTonomy's self-driving taxis and, while it went well, he claims human cabdrivers may not go extinct any time soon. According to Watts, the self-driving Mitsubishi lacked Tesla's polish and was overly cautious. The car did a fine job of avoiding jaywalkers, parked cars, and pedestrians on the short drive, but hesitated often, which could gives riders motion sickness, Watts said. nuTonomy CEO Karl Iagnemma will be speaking at Autoblog's UPSHIFT 2016 conference on transportation technology on October 6 in Detroit. Mitsubishi scores record global operating profits

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

In the minds of many auto enthusiasts, Mitsubishi has become an afterthought. It has transformed from a company known for its turbocharged, all-wheel-drive rally machines into an automaker with a very boring lineup. Maybe we are being unfair, though. While the company doesn't have much of a performance presence anymore, the Japanese brand is doing quite well financially.
According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Motors had an operating profit of 123.4 billion yen ($1.2 billion) worldwide for the fiscal year that ended in March. That's twice as much as last year and a new all-time record for the Japanese automaker. It's even paying dividends to investors for the first time in 16 years, and its expected profit of 135 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in the new fiscal year matches a goal it had set for itself to achieve two years from now.
The automaker currently focuses much of its efforts on Southeast Asia, which accounts for about a quarter of its sales. It will put even greater attention there in the coming years with more local production, according to Reuters.
