1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Runs Great! 140,000~ Miles Tlc Slight Fixer 5 Speed on 2040-cars
Templeton, Massachusetts, United States
ok...so first i will list the issues.
theres a dent in passenger door from where i was hit in a parking lot while a friend opened the door. the front plastic front side skirt has simply just broken off the screw mounts...easy fix. there are no door handles to get into the car from the outside, they need to be fixed. i have two new ones. inside passenger one broken too. i think a squirrel, etc...ate some nuts and now they are inside the fan so the heater makes noise. two tires might be ok, but the front ones need to be replaced to pass most state inspections. when i put it on the lift, it noticeably will need a new cv boot and a new tie rod. the latch to open the hatch has broken. a pair of pliers (or something) is needed to open it from the back. I LOST THE TITLE IN MY HOUSE! IT has a clean title issued to me and I will be more than happy to go apply for a new one so that she can go to a new home/owner. all of the speakers work very well, however, i think the headunit suffered damage. i will include it but i will not go as far as saying it works 50% of the time. exhaust maybe needs some tlc. do i need to say that it could use a cleaning?.. The good : the check engine light is actually not on. even though this had sat for two years, with a fresh battery it turned over the first instant! the ENGINE WAS REBUILT 15,000~ or so ago, clutch about 8000 a few other new parts at that time also. the way that i drive, i got about 42mpg average. It comes with a security system. I didnt want an eclipse, but i bought her a few years ago. It's become my favorite car. i hate to see her go but i have to pay my DUI court costs. this is a one day listing in which I may not relist if this car isnt sold as i just need money now. you can leave it here for AS LONG AS YOU'D like so long as you pay for it real soon after winning auction. |

Spectator killed in seventh stage of Dakar Rally
Tue, Jan 12 2016Not surprisingly, tragedy has struck at the Dakar Rally this year. A vehicle hit a spectator in the seventh stage of the rally on Saturday, along the stretch between Uyuni, Bolivia, and Salta, Argentina. Running in 52nd place, the Mitsubishi Lancer driven by French contestant Lionel Baud hit a 63-year-old spectator. Emergency medical personnel responded to the accident, only to declare the man dead on the scene. This was the second time a competing vehicle collided with spectators in this year's event. During the Prologue stage a week ago, Guo Meiling drove her Mini into a crowd of spectators, injuring eleven – including a father and son who were hospitalized in critical condition. This is the first time, however, that a death occurred as part of the rally since 2013, when a support vehicle collided with two taxis in Peru and killed two. Though still in progress, this year's rally has been dominated thus far by the Peugeot team. All but the opening Prologue stage have been won by the French team, with Sebastien Loeb winning three out of six full stages run so far. His teammate Stephane Peterhansel has won another two, while Carlos Sainz won the tragic seventh stage on Saturday. Following Sunday's rest day, there remain another six stages before the rally concludes in Rosario on January 16.
Mitsubishi Evo snow frolic caught by aerial camera
Tue, 30 Apr 2013Guido Tschugg is a professional mountain biker and a Red Bull-sponsored athlete in downhill and four-cross. He's also a fan of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and drifting in the snow, and with the help of filmmaker Mario Feil and drone videographers airv8, the rally car and the powder are combined to glorious effect.
We could continue talking about it, but that would delay you from enjoying the two minutes of frosty beauty in the video below.
Mitsubishi reveals Delica D:5 off-road van and 'concept' crossovers ahead of Tokyo Auto Salon
Fri, Dec 28 2018It's easy to forget Mitsubishi still makes some cool vehicles. If you look past the mirage however, you'll find vehicles like the Delica D:5 van. Mitsubishi is on its way to the Tokyo Auto Salon with a concept version of this Delica, alongside an Outlander PHEV and Eclipse Cross, with both SUVs claiming the name "Street Sport." We're all weird, so it stands to reason that the off-road-looking Delica D:5 excites us the most. While the normal Delica D:5 is now more of a van with SUV ride height, this one comes with a full suite of plastic body cladding for protection around the front and rear of the van. A heavy-duty roof rack and row of LED lights up top give it the roof of a true overlander. Some bars on the sides and bright red mud flaps hint even further that this should be taken off the pavement. What Mitsu doesn't talk about is an upgraded suspension. Granted, the Delica D:5 already looks lifted and ready for some moderate trail work, but a full-on rock crawler van would have been epic. The standard all-wheel drive system with four-wheel drive lock will have to do for now. For cars sold in the states, Mitsubishi brought some tarted-up versions of the Outlander PHEV and Eclipse Cross. Both SUVs feature similar design language, as they try to look sportier than their powertrains give away. Yellow accents along with blacked-out everything and some stickers are really the selling points here. Meaning, there isn't much, if anything, to get excited about with these "concepts." They're more sticker packages than anything, and don't give us much hope for anything fun coming stateside. For now, all we have are the individual pictures of each car. More will come once they officially break cover at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January. Related video:
