1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gsx Hatchback 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Deltona, Florida, United States
I am currently selling my 1996 eclipse GSX. Its an original GSX all wheel drive model with the 4G63. The car has a built motor with all forged internals and also has some head work done.
Mod list includes: - 6bolt swap - 67mm Garett turbo - Wiseco Forged Pistons (Bored 20 Over) - Eagle Forged Rods - High performance ACL race bearings - Crower Stage 1 mild cams with upgraded springs and retainers along with a port and polish - Apexi Afc (Air fuel Controller paired with the stock ecu, Car needs a tune running off a base map) - Megan 3 inch Turboback exhaust - ETS Front Mounter Intercooler with short route intercooler piping - Megan Racing fully adjustable coilovers with about 2500 miles on them -Brand new axles all around This motor is built and capable of handling some serious boost to make some solid power. The only issue mechanically is the car is grinding in 2nd gear when shifting under 2500 rpms. Other than that all the gears go in perfect. Asking $5000 OBO. I know what i have as these cars are getting hard to find and are a great platform to work with so don't try lowballing me. Its not a clone or a swap, its a true GSX. |

The last Mitsubishi Evolution in the US sold for $76,400
Wed, Sep 7 2016UPDATE: The final Mitsubishi Evolution, Final Edition number 1,600, sold at auction for $76,400. The proceeds will go straight to Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in celebration of Hunger Action Month. While we're sad to see the Lancer Evolution disappear, we're at least glad to see that the last one on our shores will do some good for those in need. Mitsubishi announced that the very last Lancer Evo X Final Edition for the US, number 1,600, will be auctioned on eBay for charity. The auction starts tomorrow at 9 am Pacific time and runs until Thursday, September 15 at 9 am. Considering the car's collectability and auction availability, the last Evo will probably go for well above MSRP, but that's a good thing. All of the proceeds will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank in Orange County and Feeding America in Riverside and San Bernardino, so the higher that bidding reaches for this particular car, the better. Aside from the charitable and collectible reasons, the Final Edition Evo is also the best version of the classic sport compact Mitsubishi has built. It has an extra 12 horsepower over standard and comes with the five-speed manual transmission. Plus it gets upgraded Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs and Brembo brakes. So if you want to buy the last, best version of a great car and help people while doing it, log into your eBay account this week and put in your bid. Related Video:
Mitsubishi scores record global operating profits
Thu, 24 Apr 2014In the minds of many auto enthusiasts, Mitsubishi has become an afterthought. It has transformed from a company known for its turbocharged, all-wheel-drive rally machines into an automaker with a very boring lineup. Maybe we are being unfair, though. While the company doesn't have much of a performance presence anymore, the Japanese brand is doing quite well financially.
According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Motors had an operating profit of 123.4 billion yen ($1.2 billion) worldwide for the fiscal year that ended in March. That's twice as much as last year and a new all-time record for the Japanese automaker. It's even paying dividends to investors for the first time in 16 years, and its expected profit of 135 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in the new fiscal year matches a goal it had set for itself to achieve two years from now.
The automaker currently focuses much of its efforts on Southeast Asia, which accounts for about a quarter of its sales. It will put even greater attention there in the coming years with more local production, according to Reuters.
