5sp manual
Hello and thank you for viewing my auction. This is a very very clean above average condition 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Turbo 5sp manual Spyder convertible with 128K. First the exterior. This Eclipse is finished in bright red. It is very original and onlu required a traditional buff and wzx to look great! The factory alloy wheels are in good condition too. The tires are matching and are coopers that are over 75% tread left. The convertible top is in good condition and seems to be original. I've had these cars before and even though top operates up and down fine and has no rips or tares at all anywhere I would never promise they don't leak because they usually do. Overall this Eclipse GST looks great and really needs nothing cosmetically!!
Next the interior. This Eclipse has gray leather interior that is in great shape! The original floor mats are even in this car. The door panels dash and back seat are all in great condition. The radio has a CD player and it sounds fine as well as the AC blows cold! This car was already safety inspected too. The oil was changed, the brakes were almost brand new and it needed new plugs and a fuel filter to make vehicle in tip top condition. So overall this vehicles interior is very clean and is original as well as the engine is mechanically sound and is also very original too. If anyone has any questions please call me at 860-665-7088 to discuss.
Thank you and good luck bidding!!

Mitsubishi rolls out new Triton pickup [w/videos]
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Of all the automakers producing pickup trucks these days, even among just the Japanese automakers, Mitsubishi might not spring to mind first. But maybe it should. The Diamond-Star company has been in the game now for 36 years, selling over four million pickups around the world. These days that comes down principally to the Triton, of which it sold over a third of a million units last year alone for a total of over 1.2 million produced since its introduction in 2005. Now, after nine years on the market, Mitsubishi has launched a new version.
Clearly drawing its stylistic influence (if not the hybrid powertrain) from the GR-HEV concept Mitsubishi showcased at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the new Triton aims to combine "the comfortable interior of a passenger car with the functionality and reliability of a pickup." It's more stylish, more comfortable and safer than the model it replaces, and comes in an array of configurations.
Buyers of the new Triton (known in some markets as the L200, among other nameplates it's worn over the years) will be able to choose between Single, Double and Club Cab variants. Powertrain choices will vary by market, but will be based around three engines: a 2.4-liter gasoline unit, a 2.5-liter turbodiesel and a new 2.4-liter turbodiesel with electronic valve timing.
Mitsubishi to showcase Outlander PHEV Concept-S in Paris
Mon, 22 Sep 2014The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is rumored to finally come to the US next fall as a 2016 model. In the meantime, the Japanese brand is showing off a concept for an Outlander plug-in at the Paris Motor Show in October with a massive improvement in styling and material quality that the automaker calls the "Sporty and Sophisticated" design theme.
With just a nip and a tuck, Mitsubishi's stylists have made the Outlander PHEV look a whole lot better. Instead of the narrow, squinting look of the current model, the concept shows a more vertical design that puts a big X right on the front end. In the center, there is an updated version of the horizontal grille leading to reshaped headlights. The big changes are found somewhat lower, with an air dam that is much better integrated thanks to black and chrome accents to draw the eye. The company claims that the rear gets similar upgrades with new lights and shining trim running across the tailgate.
The improved styling gets carried inside, as well. According to Mitsubishi, the design features black wood grain trim and silver accents throughout the cabin, and the center console is inspired by Japanese black lacquer boxes. The seats are also covered in hand-stitched leather with horizontal ribs.
Long-serving Mitsubishi president Masuko to step aside
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Long-struggling Mitsubishi Motors is reportedly preparing for a changing of the guard at home. According to Reuters, Osamu Masuko will step aside in favor of Tesuro Aikawa, currently the company's managing director. Masuko won't be leaving the fold entirely, however - he will take the role of chairman, displacing Takashi Nishioka, who will resign. The shakeup has not been confirmed by Mitsubishi, but word is that the changes will take effect April 1.
Mitsu's US troubles are no secret, but the brand's struggles in its home market haven't been quite so publicized. The company was bailed out by other arms of the Mitsubishi empire, and it just raised $2 billion this month to buy back preferred shares that were issued during the bailout. Masuko served as president for nearly ten years, during which the brand's US efforts utterly stalled out, recalls cropped up in Japan and an alliance with Daimler (which was DaimlerChrysler at the time) disintegrated.
According to Reuters, establishing the kind of alliances that will allow the brand to grow, such as its tie-up with Renault-Nissan, are key to Mitsu's long-term success. The thought is that an alliance will allow the brand to come up with some innovative models that won't be compromised by its lack of production scale. It looks like Aikawa has his work cut out for him.
