I bought this 2010 MITSUBISHI EVOLUTION X GSR BRAND NEW (one owner) I never had a loan/lien against it. This car has never been raced or even on a racetrack (I have Autocrossed it 5 times total) (if you want to "buy it now" just call me)

Perfect CARFAX / AUTOCHECK

This car has been in Magazines (Automobile and Autoweek magazines) and on AUTOWEEK TV because it IS the "Cambertire" car.

THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL CAR MAKE NO MISTAKE AND THE ONLY ONE LIKE IT ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET! There are very recent pics from two weekends ago with my friend and I in them.

There is no better handling EVO X on the planet I assure you with my 4 degree Cambertires on it and the FULL suspension that has been done and the 18" x 10" wheels (2 sets both with tires) ALSO no car at any price ANY PRICE can not come even close to the handling OR braking of this car! With stock Brembo brakes I stopped repeatedly in both directions (on broken up concrete to boot) in 85-86 feet from 60 mph measured by DATA ACQUISITION AND DUAL GPS ANTENNAS. That my friend IS 23.8% SHORTER stopping distance than any EVO I could find online! Beyond that there are 21 cars sold AT ANY PRICE that can stop in under 100 feet from 60 mph, THIS CAR beat the first place car AT ANY PRICE MIND YOU by 6.8%! My stock brakes little EVO X beat multi million dollar hyper exotics by a LOT!

Handling on a stock EVO X is 1G I have repeatedly seen 1.4+ Gs in skidpad testing and I can tell you the grip will knock your socks off/shock you (as will the braking)

Below is a list of everything I can remember that is done to this car: (not in order of importance)

-WHITELINE FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS AND ADJUSTABLE END LINKS AND POLY BUSHINGS (INCREDIBLE UPGRADE) ALSO Whiteline roll center offset balljoints and tie rod ends which are a MUST if you lower the car, I lowered it about 1.25" and corner weighted the car when I installed the coilovers/trick ball joints and tie rod ends and sway bars and end links /

-WHITELINE REAR CAMBER SUSPENSION ARMS (zero compliance)

-ZERO COMPLIANCE STOM REAR TOE LINKS (MEGAN RACING I THINK)

-BC RACING REMOTE ADJUSTABLE COILOVERS WITH SEPARATE RIDE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT AND SPRING TENSION ADJUSTMENT WITH THE SPANNER WRENCHES

**CAR IS PROPERLY CORNER WEIGHTED**

-CUSTOM UPPER CAMBER PLATES WITH CASTOR ADJUSTMENT ALSO (I made these from 6061 ALUMINUM BILLIT)

-DUAL CAMBER BOLTS

-FULL STAINLESS STEEL HEAD TO TAILPIPE 3" EXHAUST SYSTEM:
   -Equal Length Headers
   -3" Downpipe
   -3" Test Pipe
-3" Exhaust with NO Mid Muffler and a perfect sounding Dual Exhaust out the back

**NOT ONE PART OF THE ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS STOCK**

-MASSIVE FULL TRICK INTERCOOLER (biggest you can get) with ALL upper and lower piping and blow off valve and Silicone hoses etc...

**NOT ONE PART OF THE ENTIRE INTAKE SYSTEM IS STOCK EXCEPT THE MASS AIR SENSOR**

-Billet Anodized OIL/AIR SEPARATOR (AWESOME setup and it keeps the junk/oil vapor out of your intake but evacuates the system really nicely, a must have)

-TWO (2) sets of 18" x 10" ROTA wheels and spline lug nuts with ARP long studs all around, one set has 4 degree Cambertires on them the other has BRAND NEW non Cambertires on them (the last two pictures show the spare wheels with BRAND NEW tires on them, if you look closely you will see the tits on the tread) I LOWERED MY STARTING PRICE HOWEVER THE SECOND SET OF WHEELS ARE NOT INCLUDED IF IT SELLS BELOW 27,000$ CALL ME AND WE CAN DISCUSS BUT YOU CAN HAVE EITHER SET, YOU PICK IF BELOW $27K

**Custom rolled rear inner fender lips, looks great no issues**

-Short Shifter for the manual transmission (a must have item) and also rigid shifter mounts (replaces the spongy rubber stock ones, another must have item that makes shifting much more precise)

-Mild tuning from Burscher Racing but truly this car could be tuned on a dyno and see LOTS more power, runs awesome now though. I was going to do the tune but I figured I would wait till I got a bigger turbo and THEN tune it but I never got around to it...

-Billit Aluminum Black Anodized custom rook antenna

-Custom CAMBERTIRE branding and stickers (I love the look, they can be removed easily)

-NEW BATTERY like 2 months ago

Really a clean fast AMAZING handling GSR with TREMENDOUS setup and WAY fun trust me (let me take you for a test drive you WILL NEVER forget ;-)

ALWAYS 3,000 mile (or sooner) FULL SYNTHETIC oil changes

Probably a small smudge or even tiny scuff or scratch somewhere and one of the small round factory driving light lenses has a crack but still works and no water gets in it. No dents or dings and a great color! Factory Mats.

With the two sets of wheels I do not have the TPMS sensors installed (but I DO have them and you can install them NO PROBLEM) so the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light is on.

The check engine light comes on and goes off and it IS 100% from the test pipe and happens every time anyone uses one.

The AWD system light is on (extremely common on any of these EVO Xs) it does not effect anything and everything works great. If you surf the forums on this you will see what it is etc.... If you pay to fix it the light will go off but ? on for how long, my suggestion? Drive it and forget it, the cost to fix will be the same now or whenever you do it and again it does not effect anything at all with the functionality of the car.

Let me be CRYSTAL CLEAR here, I will let you come look at it and all that but only BEFORE you bid/win the auction, this IS a binding contract and NO POST negotiating nor examinations are allowed PERIOD. AGAIN ANYTHING you need BEFORE the auction ends/you bid NO PROBLEM.
I have seen it all with goofballs on here and I am not playing around. My FEEDBACK is 100% please check it, I am a 51 year old man and I will tell you the truth.

That is all I can think of right now, this IS a very VERY special EVO X and AUTO CROSSING it is super super fun (I do it like once MAYBE twice a year in this car and NO TRACK DAYS YET EVER, I have won AUTOCROSS events with this car and I am not an AUTOCROSSER LOL)

Call me 262 434 7000 is my cell #

Thanks and check out the Cambertire website for more pics AND a video of this car at a Milwaukee AUTOCROSS event from 2013 (really cool videos with multiple camera angles GO PRO)

Limited-edition Mitsubishi 311RS Evo X coming to Minneapolis Auto Show [w/video]

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

It's not terribly often that we have news to report coming out ahead of the Minneapolis Auto Show. We say that not to disparage the Twin Cities, which are lovely, but new product reveals are few and far between for the show. This year, however, it seems that event will play host to the debut of a rather special limited edition Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Though not coming directly from the Mitsu factory, we think the 311RS shows loads of potential for Evo fanatics.
The 311RS is the brainchild of circuit racer Ryan Gates, who has apparently spent the last three years developing what he believes is an Evo perfect for both racing and road driving. Starting life as a bog-standard Evo X, the Gates team has swapped out the factory intake, intercooler and exhaust system for more potent AMS pieces; resulting in output figures of 353 horsepower and nearly 359 pound-feet of torque. A new suspension from JRZ, brakes from Girodisc and 18-inch custom Rays wheels shod with high-performance Nitto tires represent significant updates to the underpinnings, as well.
Of course, the 311RS is also rocking a full body kit, too, with a more aggressive front air dam and a subtle lip added on to the stock rear wing. The blue and white racing livery, with matching blue wheels, looks racy without being too childish, we think.

Your 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb primer: "Donuts at 14,000 feet."

Sun, 30 Jun 2013

The teams have all set up their pits and paddocks for today's run of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and there's nothing left to do but take a shot at the title. At 8 am Mountain time (9 am EST / 7 am PST), the first of a field of 83 bikes and 63 cars - whittled from an original field of 157 - will race 12.42 miles through 156 turns from the start gate at 9,390 feet to the summit finish at 14,110 feet. The summit is where we'll be all day, having arrived on the media bus at around 5 am and not allowed to come down until the race is finished. If it's anything like last year that could mean a 14-hour day on the top munching on donuts at the summit café, begging for hits of pure oxygen and trying to stay hydrated and warm...
Here are the event with Hyundai, we enjoyed dinner with Rhys Millen got his take on what's happened and what's about to happen. Millen said the issue that caused his engine swap last week was minor, a head gasket (a production part) that was causing a bit of hesitation and a slight drop in top speed. He said it's the first time they've stressed the engines this hard, pushing boost pressures up to 19 psi at altitude, which equates to 25 psi at sea level. Offering testament to the strength of the engines, though, he said that Paul Dallenbach's engine did the entire 2012 drift season as well as Pikes Peak, and it's the engine being used again for the hill climb this year.
We also chatted with Dallenbach, who has come back from that beastly crash last year in the Unlimited category to lead almost every practice day this year in the Time Attack class. Telling us he's happier behind the wheel this year than he has been in 20 years, he asked us, "Know what my dashboard says when I turn the car on? 'Donuts at 14,000 feet.'"

Japan could consolidate to three automakers by 2020

Thu, Feb 11 2016

Sergio Marchionne might see his dream of big mergers in the auto industry become a reality, and an analyst thinks Japan is a likely place for consolidation to happen. Takaki Nakanishi from Jefferies Group LLC tells Bloomberg the country's car market could combine to just three or fewer major players by 2020, from seven today. "To have one or two carmakers in a country is not only natural, but also helpful to their competitiveness," Nakanishi told Bloomberg. "Japan has just too many and the resources have been too spread out. It's a natural trend to consolidate and reduce some of the wasted resources." Nakanishi's argument echoes Marchionne's reasons to push for a merger between FCA and General Motors. Automakers spend billions on research and development, but their competitors also invest money to create the same solutions. Consolidating could conceivably put that R&D money into new avenues. "In today's global marketplace, it is increasingly difficult for automakers to compete in lower volume segments like sports cars, hydrogen fuel cells, or electrified vehicles on their own," Ed Kim, vice president of Industry Analysis at AutoPacific, told Autoblog. Even without mergers, these are the areas where Japanese automakers already have partners for development. Kim cited examples like Toyota and Subaru's work on the BRZ and FR-S and its collaboration with BMW on a forthcoming sports car. Honda and GM have also reportedly deepened their cooperation on green car tech. After Toyota's recent buyout of previous partner Daihatsu, Nakanishi agrees with rumors that the automotive giant could next pursue Suzuki. He sees them like a courting couple. "For Suzuki, it's like they're just starting to exchange diaries and have yet to hold hands. When Toyota's starts to hold 5 percent of Suzuki's shares, this will be like finally touching fingertips," Nakanishi told Bloomberg. "I absolutely do believe that we are not finished seeing consolidation in Japan," Kim told Autoblog. Rising development costs to meet tougher emissions regulations make it hard for minor players in the market to remain competitive. "The smaller automakers like Suzuki, Mazda, and Mitsubishi are challenged to make it on their own in the global marketplace. Consolidation for them may be inevitable." Related Video:
