1995 Mitsubishi Diamante Ls Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States
1995 Mitsubishi Diamante LS for sale. Green Exterior, Tan Leather Interior, Automatic Transmission, 3.0L DOHC Engine, around 171,400 miles on the body, 71,400 on the engine, clean NC title. Asking $850.
Car currently does not run. Engine will turn over but does not actually start. I have searched for the problem but don't have the time to invest in it anymore. A few parts in the engine (air intake and coolant hoses) are disassembled. It has been a great car. I purchased it in Orlando, FL at 146,000 miles in 2009. I drove it to NC; it made several trips around the east coast before I drove it here. The Good: - I have my records for it (and some from the previous owners) including a spreadsheet that has everything I've done to/with the car including gas stops/gas mileage. - Engine was replaced at 100,000 miles (before my time) - Sound system was replaced with aftermarket speakers (non-brand name). Sounds very good. Has a Pioneer headunit with an aux input. - Head Gasket, Timing Belt, and Water Pump were done at 146,250 because it was overheating. - Keyless Entry system was installed at 160,200 - Alternator was replaced at 162,220 - Mass Airflow Sensor and both side Outer Tie-Rods were replaced at 166,400 - Two new Tires and Aligned at 169,280 - Other features: heated mirrors; dual-beam, glass headlights (GREAT at night); aluminum-alloy wheels; tinted windows. The Bad: - Whatever is wrong with the engine. - It started smoking shortly before it stopped running. Oil was leaking onto the exhaust. - Sunroof gets stuck when opened. - Heater Core seems to be plugged and only has minimal heat in the winter. - Cosmetically: Outside, it has hail damage, a dent in the front bumper, and the paint is poor but no rust. Inside, seats are well worn, steering wheel has a cover on it, everything else is in good condition. Purchaser will be responsible for transportation. More pictures available on request. Mitsubishi scores record global operating profits
Thu, 24 Apr 2014In the minds of many auto enthusiasts, Mitsubishi has become an afterthought. It has transformed from a company known for its turbocharged, all-wheel-drive rally machines into an automaker with a very boring lineup. Maybe we are being unfair, though. While the company doesn't have much of a performance presence anymore, the Japanese brand is doing quite well financially.
According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Motors had an operating profit of 123.4 billion yen ($1.2 billion) worldwide for the fiscal year that ended in March. That's twice as much as last year and a new all-time record for the Japanese automaker. It's even paying dividends to investors for the first time in 16 years, and its expected profit of 135 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in the new fiscal year matches a goal it had set for itself to achieve two years from now.
The automaker currently focuses much of its efforts on Southeast Asia, which accounts for about a quarter of its sales. It will put even greater attention there in the coming years with more local production, according to Reuters.
2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport gets another refresh at Geneva
Tue, Feb 12 2019A mysterious electric SUV isn't the only vehicle Mitsubishi is bringing to the Geneva Motor Show. The company is also showing a refreshed 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (or ASX as it's known in some markets). And yes, despite the fact the Outlander Sport hasn't been completely redesigned since its introduction in the 2011 model year, Mitsubishi is only giving it a mild update. Up front, the entire fascia is changed with all-new headlights, grille and front bumper. It's all more angular, and appears to be a blend of the Eclipse Cross and that electric SUV concept teased recently. It's easily the most successful part of the refresh. The sides are unchanged save for some chrome fake fender vents. The back features new LED taillights and a rear bumper with a faux skid plate rather than a faux diffuser. The inside is almost unchanged except for the new infotainment screen. At 8 inches, it's an inch larger than the old model. It also has the ability to play videos from a USB flash memory stick when the car is parked. Powertrain options for the U.S. haven't been announced, but we expect it will use the same 148-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder currently available, plus its associated drivetrains. The current model can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive, with just a CVT on all-wheel drive models, and an available manual on front-driver versions. One final interesting aspect about the Outlander Sport just getting a refresh again is that it's the best-selling Mitsubishi in America, and the third-best worldwide. It seems strange to give so little love to a relatively successful model. Then again, the crossover has probably mostly paid for itself by now and it keeps selling, so perhaps Mitsubishi is just trying to maximize returns while it works on the smaller next-generation version. FCA withdraws its offer to merge with Renault
Thu, Jun 6 2019UPDATE: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles released a statement confirming that it has withdrawn its merger offer, saying "it has become clear that the political conditions in France do not currently exist for such a combination to proceed successfully." The full statement can be read below our original story, which continues below. Fiat Chrysler has withdrawn its $35 billion merger offer for Renault, the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday. A source said that FCA had informed Renault it had withdrawn the offer after Renault's board of directors failed to reach a decision on the merger during a meeting that ran late into the night Wednesday. Instead, the board granted the French government's request to postpone its vote. The government wanted time to persuade Renault's reticent alliance partner Nissan. Renault's board issued a press release that said simply that it was "unable to take a decision due to the request expressed by the representatives of the French State to postpone the vote to a later Council." WSJ reported that Nissan's two members on Renault's board were balking, while the rest of the board favored the merger. The French government wouldn't it back the deal unless Nissan agreed to maintain its role in the Renault-Nissan alliance, sources said. Nissan had received little advance warning of the merger proposal and was balking. Apparently the French government thought Nissan could be brought around if given more time. "We should take our time to make sure that things are done well," French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told French television on Wednesday. When the French requested a delay and Renault's board granted it, FCA withdrew. The French state, which owns 15% of Renault, had also been seeking more influence over the merged company, firmer job guarantees and improved terms for Renault shareholders in return for blessing the $35 billion tie-up. The merger would have created the world's third-biggest automaker with combined sales of 8.7 million vehicles per year, and was intended to cut costs as the parties develop electric and autonomous vehicles. ("FCA") (NYSE: FCAU / MTA: FCA), meeting this evening under the Chairmanship of John Elkann, has resolved to withdraw with immediate effect its merger proposal made to Groupe Renault.
