Up for sale is my 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. Fully loaded, all power, super clean, and impressive. This is a one owner car west coast only transfered title once within family, never seen rain. This car was originally purchased for $36k in 1999. Very expensive back in 1999! The engine is powerful and runs strong and the car is completely stock and unmolested. Sound mechanically and cosmetically. Only small flaw is a small tear in the drivers seat in the middle. Nothing that seat covers or a cheap upholster cant fix for less than $100. Never bothered me so I never addressed it. Its Black in color, tan interior, 17"Chrome factory wheels, and a spoiler. KBB value puts my car at $8460-$7135 and the latter is rough condition. Its priced to sell accordingly. Looks amazing with great lines. Clean and clear NV title in my possession, 3 keys, and the original manual. I will sell it to US and Canada only. Its a great car with no issues and has been well maintained. All services are up to date and have been performed. Records will be provided to the new owner. Mitsubishi and Renault-Nissan expand partnership, US will get new sedan
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Mitsubishi and Renault-Nissan have just inked an alliance that might, hopefully, reverse the ailing fortunes of the Mitsubishi brand in the US market. The big chunk of news is that Mitsubishi will produce two Renualt-based models for sale in the US market, and that they'll be built at the Renault-Samsung factory in Busan, South Korea.
The plans call for a D-segment sedan to be followed by a C-segment offering. Based on the cars built at the Busan factory, that means Mitsubishi will be getting the SM5 and the SM3, a pair of handsome sedans that are based on Renault-Nissan's D and C platforms, respectively. These same platforms underpin a number of US market Nissans (not to mention a number of cars from Renault), namely the Pathfinder, Maxima, Quest and Murano for the D platform and the last-generation Rogue and Sentra for the C platform.
Besides the sedan production, Nissan and Mitsubishi will be expanding their joint-venture company, NMKV, which produces Kei cars for the Japanese market. A new, all-electric offering will be born from the partnership, likely based on a Kei car platform. The partnership between the three brands will also lead to increased sharing of technology, particularly relating to electric cars.
Mitsubishi Mirage sedan confirmed for US
Tue, Nov 25 2014The Mitsubishi Mirage easily takes the cake as the worst new car I've driven in the last year. Actually, make that the worst new car I've driven in several years (Side Note: when was the last time I drove a Smart Fortwo?). But regardless of what I, or my colleagues, think about the Mirage, it's selling decently – Mitsubishi has moved over 14,000 of them so far this year, which is actually higher than the company initially expected. And now, we've got official confirmation that the sedan version is headed our way. This isn't really shocking, considering earlier reports, but Motor Trend received further confirmation of the Mirage sedan's arrival during last week's Los Angeles Auto Show. There's no official timing as to when the sedan will arrive, and when I reached out for comment, a Mitsubishi spokesperson said of this report, "Yep. Confirmed." So, yeah, the Mirage sedan is headed our way. It'll probably come in somewhere around the low, low $12,995 price of the hatchback, and hopefully, it'll be better to drive than its more versatile hatchback sibling. And hey, if it can help Mitsubishi build sales momentum here in the US, then that's a win, right?
