1993 Mitsubishi 3000gt Zurich White-stunner!-excellent Condition-original Engine on 2040-cars
Mason City, Iowa, United States
This Mitsubishi 3000GT has been cared for well it's whole life. The first owner was a lawyer and used it for a summer pleasure cruiser, and put on limited miles. The second owner had for a short while, and could not afford to keep. The next owner had from 2004 until last July. He had from 63,000 miles until 131,300. There has been over 5K invested in the last 10,000 miles. The wheels and tires are nearly new, 18" Rozzi's with thin-line Pirelli's. The brake system has been all redone. The serpentine belt and water pump have been replaced at 120,000 miles as per routine maintenance. Also the idle motor was replaced. A K & N cold air induction system has been added. Along with the dual exhaust, the car sounds amazing. It does 160 MPH GUARANTEED!
Yet, it gets 26mpg. Honestly. The A/C is very cold and the heat is very hot. All systems work well. This is a non smoker car and the interior is in great shape, with small exceptions noted. The car has a JVC chameleon CD player, kenwood EQ, and bazooka tube with kenwood amps, all neatly installed. The stereo sounds amazing, and the car is shockingly soundproof and not obnoxious at all when cranked very loud. This car runs perfectly. It could be driven cross country without hesitation if you choose not to trailer it home. This is the best looking 3000 GT that I've seen. Whenever next to a corvette or other sports car, this is the one ALWAYS talked about. It is Zurich (pearl) white. Simply stunning. It was a very gray day when I took the pictures, and looks silver in that light. In sunshine it is a gorgeous sparkling pearl white. In a little over 3 years this no longer produced gem will be a classic. It is difficult to find on in this type of condition where the engine is original and never wrecked. The value should rise steadily at that point. This is a great deal. I have too many toys to keep right now. Thank you for buying. |

F1 champ Nigel Mansell is selling Mitsubishis in Jersey
Sat, Jan 3 2015Formula One drivers have a pretty short shelf life, so when they're done racing in grands prix, retired pilots can have a whole second career ahead of them. Jody Scheckter, for example, runs an organic farm. Niki Lauda started an airline. Most move on to other racing series, provide television commentary during race broadcasts, or start their own racing teams. But not Nigel Mansell: he's got a Mitsubishi dealership. Situated on Jersey – not New Jersey, but the British channel island – Mansell Mitsubishi is run by Nigel and his son Leo. It grew out of the service station the Mansells opened fourteen years ago, and out of the Mansell Collection, a used car dealership based in an old Art Deco movie theater, but recently expanded into selling new cars recently with the acquisition of a franchise. The Japanese brand may seem a bit of an odd choice, especially now that it's getting away from performance models and putting more emphasis on plug-in electrics. After all, Nigel won his 1992 Formula One World Championship in a Renault-powered Williams, before that raced for the likes of Ferrari and Lotus, and won the CART title on his debut season in a Lola-Ford. But the Mansells are adamant that they wanted a volume brand, not to deal with the high-priced exotics with which the name might be more readily associated. After all, there are only 100,000 or so people residing on the isle of Jersey, which wouldn't make for a very big customer base for high-end machinery. He and Leo (with whom he raced at Le Mans a few years back) even participated in a two-day training session for new franchisees, where few initially recognized the former champ. And they've got plans to expand as well. But the biggest draw may very well be the star factor, and the Mansells haven't shied away from playing it up, displaying memorabilia from Nigel's racing career around the showroom. After all, the prospect of being taken on a test drive by a former F1 champion may be enough to bring new customers into the showroom who might not have otherwise.
Mitsubishi previews new Attrage global sedan
Tue, 21 May 2013It's been about a month since we first saw the Mitsubishi Concept G4 at the Shanghai Motor Show, but now the automaker has revealed the first images for the sedan in production trim. Wearing the Mitsubishi Attrage nameplate, this sedan will go on sale this summer in Thailand and could eventually makes its way to the US. Despite being essentially a sedan version of its subcompact Mirage, Mitsubishi refers to the Attrage as its next-generation global compact sedan, suggesting it's a fair bit larger than its hatchback counterpart.
We only have this single image to go on, but the new Attrage obviously has the same overall look as the Concept G4. As expected, it does lose some of the more conceptual bits, including the fancy headlights, grills and wheels. While the styling has us thinking back to the late 1990s, the true advantage of the Attrage is likely to be its fuel consumption. US fuel economy for the Attrage hasn't been released, but the closely related 2014 Mirage is expected to return 37 miles per gallon in the city and 44 mpg on the highway using the same 1.2-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. Scroll down for the brief press release for the Thai-built Attrage.
Mechanic bagged by red light camera at 3AM driving customer car

An Oregon woman took her 2001 Mitsubishi Montero to Steve's Imports in Portland to have the emissions system fixed; the business, however, is a repair and body shop that doesn't appear to specialize in emissions. After paying $2,299.05 for the fix she got a call from the shop informing her that a repairman had been caught on camera running a red light, so she should expect a ticket. When the ticket came, the image with it was the one above, taken at 2:59 AM. The shop's owner, Steve Spinnett, said the man in the car is his son, Tommy Spinnett, who is the shop foreman. The woman is a "family friend" that Tommy was picking up from a concert. Steve told KVAL news that his son had the car all weekend to put it through a drive cycle, and that the shop doesn't charge for drive cycles done after hours. Even if all of that is true, drive cycles don't take a whole weekend - a thorough emissions-test drive cycle can be done in a couple of hours. And then there's this: the owner needed to pass the emissions test to get new license plates; the ones on the vehicle that Tommy drove over the weekend were expired. We've written about some egregious instances of customer abuse at the hands of dealership and repair shops, but this isn't one of them. But it looks bad and it's suspicious, and everyone involved might want to be more careful next time. You'll find more details on the incident in the video.
