This is a great car. I drive it everywhere. Always turns heads. Automatic transmission shifts very very smooth. Black leather has no rips and looks awesome. Cold AC. 157xxx miles. I am never afraid to drive this car anywhere . We drive from LR , AR to Memphis TN , Hot Springs AR. Great car. Everything works. Even the power antenna. Power windows and locks. Tinted glass. Chrome stock wheels. Everything is stock for that matter. Oil changes often. The only thing I really want to do is put some front struts on it. They are fairly inexpensive. 65$ a piece. I just do not have time to have the work done. It drives great but just not like a catillac. Which most sports cars are not that smooth of a ride. But with new shocks I know it would be much better. Everything is there. Even the cargo trunk cover. (Always missing) cup holder. Original cigarette lighter. Owners manual with leather holder. I picked up a window regulator at a salvage yard. Drivers side in great condition I will throw in with the car (**expensive**) tires are ok. Wheels look great!! Great paint job. CD player with remote and good aftermarket speakers. Sound great. Door panels do not have any wrinkles. (Common) dash vents are in tact ( common cracking ) cruise control. This car has been taken care of. SOHC. Doesn't smoke. I would be willing to drive it to meet whoever buys it. I have 100% confidence in this car. It gets good gas milage if you drive it right. I baby this car. The sport/economy mode in the transmission works well. It controls when it shifts. Overdrive works well also. Engine bay is real clean. Will try to add a pic or txt /call 5019407810 for more pics. The car has very little door dings. No damage what so ever. It has 2 scratches. Not bad at all. Clear title in hand. This is a nice car just in time for summer. A true collectors classic. Call or txt 5019407810 for any questions. Buy it now or make an offer.

Mechanic bagged by red light camera at 3AM driving customer car

An Oregon woman took her 2001 Mitsubishi Montero to Steve's Imports in Portland to have the emissions system fixed; the business, however, is a repair and body shop that doesn't appear to specialize in emissions. After paying $2,299.05 for the fix she got a call from the shop informing her that a repairman had been caught on camera running a red light, so she should expect a ticket. When the ticket came, the image with it was the one above, taken at 2:59 AM. The shop's owner, Steve Spinnett, said the man in the car is his son, Tommy Spinnett, who is the shop foreman. The woman is a "family friend" that Tommy was picking up from a concert. Steve told KVAL news that his son had the car all weekend to put it through a drive cycle, and that the shop doesn't charge for drive cycles done after hours. Even if all of that is true, drive cycles don't take a whole weekend - a thorough emissions-test drive cycle can be done in a couple of hours. And then there's this: the owner needed to pass the emissions test to get new license plates; the ones on the vehicle that Tommy drove over the weekend were expired. We've written about some egregious instances of customer abuse at the hands of dealership and repair shops, but this isn't one of them. But it looks bad and it's suspicious, and everyone involved might want to be more careful next time. You'll find more details on the incident in the video.

F1 champ Nigel Mansell is selling Mitsubishis in Jersey

Sat, Jan 3 2015

Formula One drivers have a pretty short shelf life, so when they're done racing in grands prix, retired pilots can have a whole second career ahead of them. Jody Scheckter, for example, runs an organic farm. Niki Lauda started an airline. Most move on to other racing series, provide television commentary during race broadcasts, or start their own racing teams. But not Nigel Mansell: he's got a Mitsubishi dealership. Situated on Jersey – not New Jersey, but the British channel island – Mansell Mitsubishi is run by Nigel and his son Leo. It grew out of the service station the Mansells opened fourteen years ago, and out of the Mansell Collection, a used car dealership based in an old Art Deco movie theater, but recently expanded into selling new cars recently with the acquisition of a franchise. The Japanese brand may seem a bit of an odd choice, especially now that it's getting away from performance models and putting more emphasis on plug-in electrics. After all, Nigel won his 1992 Formula One World Championship in a Renault-powered Williams, before that raced for the likes of Ferrari and Lotus, and won the CART title on his debut season in a Lola-Ford. But the Mansells are adamant that they wanted a volume brand, not to deal with the high-priced exotics with which the name might be more readily associated. After all, there are only 100,000 or so people residing on the isle of Jersey, which wouldn't make for a very big customer base for high-end machinery. He and Leo (with whom he raced at Le Mans a few years back) even participated in a two-day training session for new franchisees, where few initially recognized the former champ. And they've got plans to expand as well. But the biggest draw may very well be the star factor, and the Mansells haven't shied away from playing it up, displaying memorabilia from Nigel's racing career around the showroom. After all, the prospect of being taken on a test drive by a former F1 champion may be enough to bring new customers into the showroom who might not have otherwise.

Masuko to step down as Mitsubishi Motors CEO, Kato to succeed him

Fri, May 17 2019

TOKYO — Mitsubishi Motors Corp said on Friday that Osamu Masuko will step down as its chief executive on June 21 and be replaced by Takao Kato, who is president of its operations in Indonesia. Masuko will retain his role as chairman of the board, Mitsubishi Motors said in a statement, adding that Masuko and Kato will hold a press conference on May 20 to discuss the changes. Japan's sixth-largest automaker, in which Nissan Motor Co holds a controlling stake, said this month it expects profit to fall to 90.0 billion yen ($821 million) in the year to March as it navigates slowing demand for cars, global trade frictions and the need to develop new technologies. Mitsubishi's partners Nissan and France's Renault are meanwhile grappling with the fallout from the arrest of Carlos Ghosn, the group's former chairman, who is facing charges of financial misconduct in Japan. Ghosn has denied all charges against him. Reporting by Stanley White.
