John Cooper Works 2009 Black Mini - Excellent Condition "street Legal Go-kart" on 2040-cars
Washoe Valley, Nevada, United States
This is a one owner MINI I purchased as a summer driver. It has always been parked in a garage overnight. All service has been completed
at either the Sacramento or Reno dealerships and the records are available. A set of Konig Feather wheels and an Alta adjustable rear sway bar were added to improve handling and make the steering more neutral. The factory wheels and the original sway bar are included with the MINI. An invisible bra, both front and rear, have protected the paint from chips. Two small chips on the passenger side of the windshield have been repaired. The chips aren't much bigger than a pin head and there is no cracking. California legal window tinting was professionally applied about 2 years ago to the side and rear windows. The MINI is sold as is and for local pick-up or buyer arranged transportation. Send an email and we can arrange for you to check out the Mini. If you have questions or wish for more detailed pictures, please contact me. Thanks for looking ! |

Spy shots show Mini Cooper facelift
Wed, May 10 2017Mini is planning some slight visual changes to the Mini Cooper lineup, and our spy photographer caught the convertible and Cooper S out in the wild wearing minimal camouflage. As the changes will be subtle, there's not a lot that needs covering up, as we can see from the light bits of swirly camo worn by these two testers. Up front, it looks like might make some light touchups to the lighting and the front edge of the hood, which are covered by decals. In back, the rear lighting, top of the bumper, and the horizontal piece that is home to the rear Mini badge are disguised, but any changes there will also be very slight. It's what we don't see in the photos that will get the most important updates. Mechanically, it's possible that a revised turbocharging system and cooling system could help with emissions and provide a small boost to output. From styling standpoint, we can expect a couple of new paint colors and wheel designs, as well as some new interior options and mood lighting. Mini knows how you take your coffee after a test drive
Thu, 11 Oct 2012Mini Netherlands wanted to give its countrymen a good reason to test drive its cars, so it threw in a free cup of coffee with the spin - but not just any old cuppa joe. Cars were fitted with a sensor that analyzed the driver's style. The chip was then placed in a special coffeemaker that produced a blend to match the driving; middle-of-the-road test pilots would get a lungo (long) coffee, test-the-rollcage types were given a ristretto (short, and stronger).
The knock on the head for U.S. drivers? Milquetoast test drivers were given an Americano - a watered-down espresso. You can watch the unique promotion at work in the video below.
2015 Mini Cooper snapped uncovered on the road
Mon, 30 Sep 2013The third generation of reborn Mini is nearly upon us. Just look at the trail of breadcrumbs the Anglo-Saxon automaker has been leaving us.
First we saw the upcoming new Mini Cooper, spied from above at a photo shoot, which Mini was quick to point out was not its best angle. Then BMW's retro-hatch division showcased the Mini Vision concept, and followed up just yesterday with details of the new engines and chassis that will underpin the latest model. And now we have the clearest batch of spy shots we've seen yet.
Not only were these shots taken from a better angle, but also show the new Mini in the more tempting Cooper S trim - complete with hood scoop, split-spoke alloys, roof spoiler and twin central exhaust tips.
