We at Campbell Brothers Auto Sales Inc. are offering for sale this Very Clean 2006 MINI COOPER HATCHBACK with a 1.6L 4CYL. and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. We purchased this vehicle from a bank as a repossession and it is in need of engine repair. It is our belief that while the car was being transported during the repossession the oil pan was cracked causing the vehicle to loose most but not all of it's oil. Therefore when the bank started the car it caused engine damage. That is all speculation on our part but regardless the car will not start. It will turn over, doesn't make any abnormal noise, but does seem to be low on compression. We do not know the severity or actually if there is internal damage because we have not had it professionally diagnosed. All we actually know is the oil pan is crack and the engine will turn over but not start. However, to be safe WE ARE SELLING THIS CAR TO BE IN NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. It appearS that prior to the vehicle being repossessed it was a very nice car. The interior is a non-smoker and is in exceptionally clean condition. The leather and upholstery are quite clean and show little if any wear. The dash, carpet, seats, instrumentation, and all electronics work properly and are in great condition. The exterior is nice as well with the exception of a few cosmetic blemishes which are listed in condition report below. This is a a high quality vehicle that is well worth repairing due to it's condition and being such low miles. Once this car is repaired it has the potential to make someone a nice profit or an inexpensive Mini Cooper. If you have the mechanical repair ability or a friend that does this maybe the car for you. Gas
prices are predicted to sore and so will the prices on the gas
squeezers. Be ahead of the game. Take advantage of this NO RESERVE auction and own an inexpensive Mini Cooper! This 2006 Mini Cooper comes equip with many nice features and options which include... We are selling this vehicle with NO RESERVE.
Please make sure you are going to buy and have the funds to pay for it.
Your bid is a contract and may make you the new owner. If you in anyway
cannot complete this contract please do not wast our time or yours. We
look forward to meeting the new owner.
CONDITION EXTERIOR: Nice looking vehicle overall. The only cosmetic flaws we could see are... 1. Small crack in the paint on the right front bumper corner. 2. About a 6 inch vertical crease on the passenger side door. Easily pushed out by paintles dent removal. 3. Scuff along drivers door. Possibly buffed out. 4. Left rear reflector on bumper cover is broken. 5. Small chips on left rear fender flare. All before mentioned items are very minor and cosmetic only. Overall this is a good looking vehicle INTERIOR: The interior is exceptionally clean. Non-smoker and well cared for. DRIVE TRAIN: The engine will not start. Drivetrain unknown. The tires have about 80%+ tread. Once again... THIS VEHICLE IS IN NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. SHIPPING and PAYMENT: $500

If deposit has not been received within 48 hours of the end of the

Mini exiting WRC after just one year
Fri, 12 Oct 2012There was a fair bit of hullabaloo two years ago when Mini announced a return to the World Rally Championship for this season, but the road to making that happen has been as rocky as a gravel stage. It spent 2011 developing its JCW Countryman WRC challenger, changing its mind about how it wanted to work with Prodrive, dumped a driver due to budget issues, then registering its entry after the deadline had passed in a ploy that might or might not have been a protest aimed at the WRC promoter.
Mini had stated that it wanted to win the whole championship in 2013, and spent 2011 doing six WRC rounds as development. As it stands for this year, the WRC Team Mini Portugal - paid for by Mini, run by ProDrive - scored 26 points in the first rally at Monte Carlo and has so far blanked the rest of the season. The relationship between Mini and ProDrive appeared to be an ever-contentious affair, at the end of this season, even the money will dry up along with what support there was.
Because it contested every race in the calendar, though, Mini says it has completed the FIA requirements for homologation of the JCW Countryman WRC; meaning that privateers can continue purchasing the car and run it in the WRC. BMW Motorsport is continuing development and parts supply of the 1.6-liter turbo engine, and a report in Autosport indicates that ProDrive will continue to run Minis in the series next year.
Mini John Cooper Works GP coming in 2020, special editions in the meantime
Tue, Nov 20 2018Every once in a while, Mini releases a monster of a Cooper with the designation of GP. It created one in 2006, and another in 2013, and they both featured less weight, more power, a big rear wing and no rear seat. They were the hardest-core of hardcore Minis. And now a third GP is coming in 2020. The big little car brand announced the GP will return, but not much else. The only other detail shared was that it will have styling inspired by the Mini John Cooper Works GP concept shown at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. As seen above, it was a thoroughly over-the-top interpretation of the GP with huge fender flares featuring big trailing fins. The rear wing was also enlarged to near comic proportions. We'll see if Mini commits to the gonzo styling, or if it dials things way back. 2019 Mini John Cooper Works Knights Edition View 18 Photos To supplement the announcement of this new Mini, the company also announced a few special-edition Mini models on sale now or very soon. The most interesting of the three newly announced Minis is the Mini John Cooper Works Knights Edition. It's a Mini JCW Hardtop in black with a silver roof, mirrors and hood stripes. On the sides are silver and red stripes, and all around the car is black trim. The door handles, badging and grille surround are all painted black. It's a menacing-looking car, or at least as menacing as a Mini can look. It also gets the remote-controlled exhaust flap to go from mild to wild exhaust note at a push of the button. This model goes on sale in the first quarter of 2019. Next month, you'll be able to get your hands on the Mini Countryman Yin Yang Edition. This is a basic Mini Cooper S Countryman in either black or white, with the other color for the roof and hood stripes. It also gets a black grille and black light trim. Then there's the Mini Clubman Starlight Edition. This is a Cooper S Clubman in dark blue with a silver roof, mirrors and hood stripes. It's on sale now. Both special editions also throw in some luggage accessories as standard equipment. Related Video:
Even Mini's manual transmission take rate is only 11%
Fri, May 24 2019Of all the automakers we've talked with so far, Mini seems to sell the largest percentage of its cars with a manual transmission. A representative from the company shared numbers with us that show 11% of its 2019 sales have featured a stick. That beats Subaru's 7%, Volkswagen's 5% and Honda's 2.6%. It likely helps that Mini is a more niche brand, and it offers a manual on nearly every version of its cars. Still, it's sad that 89% of Mini owners decided to get an automatic anyway. The manual take rate between different models varies quite a bit. The high-performance John Cooper Works models are most frequently sold with a manual transmission. The two-door hardtop and convertible versions have the highest percentages for the JCW at 41% and 32%. The JCW Clubman and Countryman follow at 22% and 19%. We're not surprised that the fast versions of Minis are sold with a manual more often than others, but we're surprised that even with two in 10 JCW Clubman and Countryman models selling with one, Mini would drop the option from the new 301-horsepower versions. Unsurprisingly, other trim levels aren't purchased with a stick as often. The least popular is the front-drive Cooper S Countryman at 0%, followed by the regular Cooper Countryman at 1%. Then there's the Cooper Clubman at 3%. Weirdly, the all-wheel-drive Countryman and Clubman models always have a higher percentage of manuals than the front-drive models, with differences ranging from 2% to 10%. The two-door Minis are typically the most likely to sell with a manual even for core models. In the convertible, the 6% of regular Coopers are manual while 30% of the Cooper S are. That nearly matches the JCW convertible. For the hardtop, the regular Cooper's manual take rate is 11% and the Cooper S model's is 17%. These numbers will probably drop in the short term, though. Mini announced that it's temporarily stopping imports of manual Minis due to some emissions calibration issues. After a few months, though, we expect the manual sales to bounce back.
