The car runs like brand new. Interior is perfect, upholstery and mats look brand new. Appearance wise the car has been mistaken for a much newer model. It runs as good as it looks."

THIS car is as near perfect for a '08 Mini as you can get.  I am not the first owner but the people the owned it before me sure knew how to take care of it.  The car is garaged now and must have been garaged by earlier owner because the body shows no sign of weather what so ever.  The KARFAX shows no incidents/accidents.  There is not the first scratch, dent or ding anywhere on the body.  The interior is just as clean.  The car runs like brand new - I have just recently had a oil change and although the transmission is suppose to have lifetime oil I changed it as well.  From researching the Mini maintenance it is suggested by most owners that the transmission oil should be changed around 30k.  The tires are not new but have at least 3/4 tread left.  The radio works fine, air is cold, and all controls work as they should.  Sun roof works fine and not any leaks. The only reason I'am selling this car (and I really don't want to) is that my daughter has a 20 mile drive to school and I need to get a decent car for her.  I will get rather emotional when it does sell.  I live in Tennessee but would meet a buyer halfway if you live a distance away.  I might consider taking in trade a older model S40 Volvo.

Xcar takes the Mini Challenge, and it sounds awesome

Wed, Jan 28 2015

The third-generation Mini is well and truly on sale in markets across the world. The new four-door model should be arriving soon, if it isn't already on sale in your neck of the woods, and the latest John Cooper Works model made its official debut just a few weeks ago at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. We aren't going to be talking about any of those right now, though. That's because our chums at Xcar took it upon themselves to sample the third-generation Mini Challenge racecar, a 275-horsepower, hardcore, fully committed competition version of the otherwise adorable Mini Cooper S. At roughly 30,000 British pounds (about $45,200 at today's rates) there's a lot to like about the Challenge car. Aside from a gutted cabin and aggressive aerodynamic kit, the racer has been fitted with slick tires, a Quaife sequential gearbox, adjustable dampers, Alcon brakes and a consequently lower curb weight – under 2,600 pounds with an average-sized driver. It's fair to say the Challenge driving experience figures to be unlike your typical road-going Mini. And considering that, we think the folks that built the car, Total Track, have fulfilled their promise of delivering a "touring car experience at a fraction of the cost." Have a look at the Xcar video and let us know what you think. Be sure to crank up your speakers, because the Challenge sounds excellent.

Mini goes zany with latest accessories catalog

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Driving a Mini is most definitely an individualistic choice - one that not everyone would get on board with. So if you're going to go with such a fashion statement, you might as well give it your own sense of style. That's where Mini's new line of accessories come in.
Available for the new third-gen Mini hardtop, the accessories offer buyers the opportunity to customize their retro hatchback as best they see fit. There are roof graphics, accessory lighting, wheel upgrades and mirror caps (like the cartoonish ones pictured at right) just like you would have found in the parts catalog for previous iterations of the Mini, but now the brand is offering four appearance kits it's calling Mini Design Lines.
The kits are color coordinated in either Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, John Cooper Works Pro (in black, red and grey) and Essential Black and include everything from the interior trim to exterior graphics. They might not be to everyone's taste, but that kinda strikes us as the point. Scope 'em out in the extensive high-res image gallery above and the details in the press release below.

Car Club USA: Minis On Top

Tue, Aug 18 2015

Car Club USA heads to New Hampshire for Minis On Top, an annual Mini owner event at the base of Mt. Washington. Owners meet, greet, and compete for best of show honors, and then make the thrilling ascent to the top of Mt. Washington. "You get about halfway up the mountain and all the sudden you can't see," remarks one driver of the sometimes treacherous conditions. Events like Minis On Top have been bringing together this tight-knit automotive community for years. "When I bought it, I really... didn't know it was a car that came with friends," said Eric Ruiz, one of the event coordinators. "I have no idea where my life would be had I not bought that Mini off the dealership floor," said Emily Martian, who struck up a long-distance relationship with fellow Mini driver Steve Nikitopoulos at another owner event. "So, yes, technically Minis brought us together." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. MINI Driving Ownership Car Club USA Videos Original Video
