THIS IS AN UNFORTUNATE MOMENT FOR US, BUT MOVING TO DOWNTOWN CHICAGO AND WE WON'T NEED A SECOND CAR. WE DECIDED TO KEEP OUR X5 DIESEL

DUE TO SPACE AND OUR LITTLE CAR WILL HAVE TO GO. I WILL SAY THAT IT WILL BE JUST A MATTER OF TIME FOR US TO GET A NEW MINI AS THIS HAS BEEN
ONE OF THE BEST CARS WE OWNED. I AM A METICULOUS CAR ENTHUSIAST AND I SIMPLY REFUSE TO LEAVE THIS CAR PARKED ON THE STREET TO SOON BE ALL TRASHED BY OTHER CARS BUMPING ON IT OR LEAVING THE CAR SITTING EXPOSED TO THIS WEATHER.

WE ARE THE SECOND OWNERS OF THIS BABY AND IT HAS BEEN TAKEN GREAT CARE OF SINCE DAY ONE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS OUR FRIEND, WHICH SOLD TO US DUE TO HIS WIFE HAVING A BABY.

THE CAR IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, ON TOP OF IT I JUST SPENT 900USD IN 4 NEW TIRES (CONTINENTAL DWS ALL SEASON) AS WELL AS NEW BRAKE CROSS DRILLED ROTORS AND CERAMIC PADS 1200USD. ONLY SHELL PREMIUM FUEL USED, WASHED WEEKLY, WAXED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 2 MONTHS.

THE WHOLE BOTTOM PART OF THE CAR IS WRAPPED ON 3M CLEAR BRA ALL AROUND, INCLUDING HEADLIGHTS, WHICH MEANS, THE CAR HAS NO SCRATCHES.

THIS IS FOR SURE ONE OF THE RARE UNITS OUT THERE, FIRST FOR BEING SO WELL TAKEN CARE OF. LOOK AT THE CAR INTERIOR AND YOU WILL SEE ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF WEAR, THE OUTSIDE LOOKS PERFECT, HAS ABSOLUTELY LOW MILEAGE, NO MECHANICAL ISSUES, ALL SERVICE RECORDS ARE UP TO DATE.

NOW, GETTING TO THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. YES YOU CAN FIND OTHER MINI'S OUT THERE CHEAPER. HOWEVER YOU NEED TO COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES.

A MINI COOPER S IN 2007 HAD A BASE STICKER PRICE OF 21200USD. SO TODAY YOU CAN GO OUT ON THE MARKET AND FIND THESE BASE MODELS FOR MUCH LESS THAN WHAT I AM SELLING.

NOW THIS UNIT HERE WAS CUSTOM ORDERED AND HAD A STICKER PRICE OF USD35500 - ESSENTIALLY USD14300 IN OPTIONS!!! KBB AND NADA BOOKS DO NOT REALLY CONSIDER ALL THESE OPTIONS ON THE PRICING.

THIS COLOR COMBO AND ALL OPTIONS ARE FAIRLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND OUT THERE. PERIOD. ON TOP OF IT YOU ADD LOW MILEAGE AND A WELL TAKEN CARE CAR AND BAM, YOU GOT YOUR ANSWER.

HERE IS WHAT THIS CAR HAS WHICH YOU CAN ALSO SEE ON THE WINDOW STICKER PICTURE I HAVE ADDED.

ASTRO BLACK METALLIC PAINT - USD450
LEATHER LOUNGE REDWOOD SEATS - USD1900
PREMIUM AUDIO PACKAGE WITH LIFETIME SATELLITE RADIO - USD1400
PANORAMIC SUNROOF INCL
CONVENIENCE PACKAGE - USD1400
COLD WEATHER PACKAGE - USD300
PREMIUM PACKAGE - USD1400
SPORT PACKAGE - USD1900
ANTHRACITE HEADLINER - USD200
TPMS INCLUDED
AUTO TRANSMISSION WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS USD1350
ANTI THEFT ALARM USD400
CHROME LINE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR USD450
MIRROR CAPS IN CHROME - INCL
REAR AND FRONT FOG LIGHTS - USD100
NAVIGATION USD2100
WHITE TURN SIGNALS USD100

CAR IS PAID-OFF, LIEN FREE, CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE ON HANDS. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. THIS IS A UNIQUE EXAMPLE AND ONLY AN ENTHUSIAST WILL UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE THIS THING.

I'M OPEN TO REVIEW OFFERS..... AS FAR AS THEY ARE REASONABLE. IF YOU ARE OUT THERE SHOPPING FOR A MINI COOPER S, MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOOKING INTO ALL OPTIONS AND NOT ONLY THE CAR MODEL ITSELF. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENT WHEN YOU ADD ALL OPTIONS THIS CAR HAS, COMPARED TO CHEAPER ONES WHICH HAVE NOTHING,

CAR HAS 2 SETS OF KEYS, ALL MANUALS, BOOKS, WINDOW STICKER, EVERYTHING.

LOOK AT THE AUTOCHECK SCORE. IT RANKS AT 97 POINTS COMPARED TO THE AVG FOR THIS YEAR MODEL. IT IS ALMOST PERFECTION!!!

PICS DON'T DO ENOUGH JUSTICE. THESE WERE TAKEN INSIDE OUR HEATED PARKING GARAGE AND THEY ARE DARK AND SEATS LOOK MUCH MORE RED THEN THEY ARE.... SEATS ARE NOT AS BRIGHT AS THE PICS.... THEY ARE ELEGANT, CLASSY.... MUST SEE IN PERSON.

2014 Mini Cooper rockets into view

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

Here it is, all but undisguised. We've been clocking the 2014 Mini Cooper for months now, but engineers' well-placed camouflage has meant that our views have been very limited. Today, though, the disguises have been cast aside and the new Mini has been revealed in both standard and Cooper S form during a photo shoot, and there are some real surprises afoot.
For one, we had no idea that the Cooper would adopt the LED daytime running lamp corona headlamps from the much-loved 2011 Rocketman concept, but there they are, looking both unique and a little frightened. The front grille has been resculpted and and is now more rounded, integrating the bumper strike face in matte black. In fact, the entire nose looks a bit more rounded to our eyes, with all variants carrying a small but noticeable power bulge (shown here on the S model above the intake slot in the hood). The profile looks largely unchanged save for a slightly faster windshield, but the rear picks up a set of oversized taillamps that we'll likely have to see in person to get comfortable with. Our spy shooters tell us that the 2014 Cooper, codenamed F56, appears to be slightly larger in the metal than its predecessor, as expected, with much of that length coming in the form of a longer front overhang (perhaps to assist with pedestrian safety regulations).
Expected to ride atop the same UKL architecture shared with the upcoming BMW 1 Series GT and MPV, the entire line of Coopers may move to an all three-cylinder lineup, including BMW's 1.5-liter I3 that features a twin-scroll turbo, direct injection and variable valve timing, a combination good for anywhere between 120 to 200 horsepower. Eventually, higher-performance models could generate up to 300 horsepower out of this tiny engine. Our well-connected lensmen suggest that at least one four-cylinder engine might carry over to the launch of this new generation, but it may only be available for the first model year.

BMW won't build this classic Mini Electric, but we wish they would

Tue, Mar 27 2018

We have good news, and we have bad news. First, the good: BMW is showing off this ridiculously fun classic Mini at the New York Auto Show, complete with the addition of a fully modernized electric powertrain. And now, the bad: It's a one-off with zero chance of even small-scale production. To clarify, Mini will indeed unveil a full electric model sometime in 2019, but it'll be based on the new Cooper, not the classic you see here. View 26 Photos There aren't any real specifications to go along with the announcement and images released just ahead of the NY Show. BMW just hints that the car's driving characteristics "remain true to the brand" with "spontaneous power" that contributes to its "unmistakable go-kart feeling." Oh, and BMW also says the little red hatchback is "a sympathetic ambassador for environmental awareness." Whatever that means. We're content to let all that posturing and press-release speak go unchecked, mostly because we're just so pleased that BMW took the trouble to build this thing in the first place. Classic cars are fun in general, and if the reimagining of such an icon with future-proofing technology like an electric powertrain conversion keeps the public focused on cool cars both past and present, well, that notion gets a hearty nod of approval from all of us here at Autoblog. Check out the images up above for now, and stay tuned for plenty more fun surprises as the festivities in New York carry on over the next couple of days. Carfection looks for the ultimate pocket rocket

Fri, Mar 18 2016

If there's one thing we love, it's a good showdown. Especially when it's on video, done by some Englishmen, and involving some manner of performance machinery. Like this latest clip, for example, from Carfection. The team formerly known as Xcar have assembled three very compelling supermini hot hatches: two we can get on our side of the pond, and one we can't. One American, one Frenchman, and one Brit. One cheap, one expensive, and one somewhere in between. They all pack turbo fours, of course, but placed in entirely different packages. There's the evergreen favorite Ford Fiesta ST, the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy that should have the rest licked, and the retro rocket that is the Mini JCW. And there's only one way to find out which is the best. It's a tough contest, to be sure, but lest you think it all comes down to specifications or which one's the newest, you'll want to think again. Because when it comes to hot hatches, all the electronic gizmos and power boosts in the world can't show up a perfectly dialed-in chassis that lets you hug the curves and feel like you're going a lot faster than you actually are. But don't take our word for it – see what our British friends have to say about it in the Queen's English in the seventeen-minute clip above. Related Video:
