2005 Mini Cooper! No Reserve!!!!

This is a 2005 Mini Cooper. It has 129,213 miles on it. It is a very fun car to drive as it has the 5 speed manual transmission. This car is not perfect and needs some work, but it is going to make someone very happy. And if you know how to work on a Mini this car will be for you!

I tried to take pictures of everything. The car is blue in color, leather two tone interior and a very large power sunroof. Power windows, power locks, air bags and air conditioning. And up until recently it never had a problem. Also it is NOT the turbo S version.

I have some some issues with the driver's side door. The window mechanism is messed up. A mechanic put two vise grips on to hold the window in place. Obviously in the up position. He said the pulley system needed work. The side panel is also coming off. I am sorry I know very little about car mechanics and just trying to be as honest as possible.

The heater also does not work. There are issues with the coil and there was a leak. A mechanic stopped the leak but there is no longer heat.

Because I have not driven the car in a while the battery was dead. I had AAA charge it but they said (while it is holding a charge now) it will need a new battery.

The major issue with the car is the engine has what I have been told has a blown gasket. I was driving the car to work and it started to overheat. I called AAA and they loaded the car on their flatbed and brought it back to the garage. I was told that a gasket blew and radiator fluid leaked into the engine oil. He said it would take a lot of labor to fix.

There may be other small issues with the car as it is used and obviously being sold as is. The car runs now but it will overheat fairly quickly. Again the car needs work.

I am now packing up for college and my Dad said to just sell it on eBay to the highest bidder. If you know how to fix cars I think this would be a great project. If you don't work on them yourself than this may not be the best car for you. But like I said, this car was a blast to drive. I was going to get another one but there is not a Mini dealer in Maine.

I should also mention I purchased the car in Texas. Not in Maine. So the body is in great shape. I drove it up to Maine last year.

NOTES: PLEASE READ.

1.) I will do my best to answer any questions but I do not know much about car mechanics.

2.) The car is being sold "as-is". I have tried to be honest but I can only repeat what I have been told by others mechanics as to the issues with the car. The current issues may be easy to fix or major repairs. I simply do not know. This is a project car.

3.) You will NOT want to drive the car away as it will overheat. It will need to be towed or picked up with a flatbed. This obviously means I am also not able to meet anybody to deliver the car. It will have to be picked up at my parking garage in Portland, Maine. I have the clear title. There are no plates on the car.

4.) The winner buyer MUST pay by with CASH or BANK CHECK at time of pick up. We can also accept PayPal for any portion of the purchase price.

5.) The car must be paid for and picked up before August 1st as I am leaving to college. That is why it is only a 5 day auction. You can pick it up at my parking garage in Portland, Maine.

This car IS being sold to the highest bidder with NO reserve. It much be sold and picked up by August 1st!!

Thanks and Good Luck!

2020 Mini John Cooper Works GP is priced from $45,750

Mon, Nov 4 2019

Mini hasn’t even given us all the details for the upcoming John Cooper Works GP, but it already has a price. Set to debut at this month's L.A. Auto Show, the GP will start at $45,750. The last GP-badged Mini sold for $39,950, so this mid-$40,000 price point isnÂ’t out of the ordinary or unexpected. However, itÂ’s still pretty nuts considering the competition. Mini previously told us the GP will have “over 300 horsepower” and go around the Nurburgring in less than 8 minutes. Global production is also limited to 3,000 total cars, but itÂ’s not clear how many of those will be coming stateside.  Mini John Cooper Works GP View 30 Photos A regular 2020 John Cooper Works Hardtop starts at $34,250, but itÂ’s making do with considerably less horsepower at 231 ponies. A Civic Type R retails for $37,230. A Golf R is $41,290 and the WRX STI costs $37,895. WeÂ’ll note that Mini hasnÂ’t said how much standard equipment is included with the $45,750 asking price, so it could get much more expensive from there — Mini will surely let you go nuts with the configurator. That said, we can hope the high asking price does include an array of niceties you'd have to pay for on higher trims of the JCW Hardtop. When it launches later this November, Mini has already promised it will be the fastest car itÂ’s ever produced. WeÂ’re excited to see the extreme Mini take to the streets in mid-2020, as the GP models in the past have always provided us with a gloriously fun driving experience.

Production Mini Rocketman still in the cards, but not without a partner

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

There's not really any way around it - the new Mini Hardtop isn't all that mini. Considering its supposed to be the smallest model in the brand's lineup, this is hardly desirable. It's good news, then, that rumors are cropping up of a smaller Mini, based on the well-received Rocketman Concept that debuted in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The report, which comes from our friends at AutoGuide, claims that a production Rocketman is still on the radar of Mini's product chief, Pat McKenna, despite being officially on hold. As Mckenna explained it to AG, "the only way it would happen would be if it was a partnership with another company."
See, the problem is that Mini's current UKL platform, which underpins the new Hardtop along with the future Mini range, is too large for the tiny Rocketman. And since developing new platforms isn't as easy as popping down to the shops for a gallon of milk (nor as cheap), it makes the need for an ally to split the costs a necessity. Success, so far, has been limited.

Oscar Mayer plumps up Wienerfleet with Wienermini, Wiener Rover, Wienercycle and Wienerdrone

Mon, Jun 26 2017

Contrary to popular belief and the song that's now going to be stuck in your head the rest of the day (you're welcome), not everyone loves an Oscar Mayer wiener. But everyone, bar none, loves the Wienermobile. And that's why we're so happy to see that Oscar Mayer has expanded its fleet of wiener-inspired vehicles to include a downsized wiener car, a scooting wiener, a radio-controlled wiener, and, perhaps most inspiring of all, a wienerdrone. Can a wiener-shaped Power Wheels be far behind? Before we get to the hovering coup de grace, let's dissect the other wieners on wheels. The Wienermini, quite obviously, is built atop the chassis of a Mini Cooper. It can surely go places the larger OG-Wienermobile simply can't due to its massive dimensions. Then there's the Wiener Rover, which, despite its name, was not built to introduce Martians to the joys of processed meats. The third new wiener is a Vespa in orange and yellow with a wiener-shaped sidecar. Here's hoping those wieners don't stink of two-stroke. And finally there's the Wienerdrone. In retrospect, it's amazing that it has taken this long for someone to invent the world's most perfect hot dog delivery system. We imagine hundreds of these wiener-shaped copters autonomously delivering wieners at sporting events all across the country. Make it so, Oscar Mayer. Only then will everyone truly love an Oscar Mayer wiener. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
