2007 Mini Cooper S, JCW Works. 34,500 Original Miles. Many great mods. Super Clean and a blast to drive! Reason for sale: Growing family need a bigger vehicle. Here is the cars history:
Original owner ordered and purchased in Nov 2007, Delivery was in December 2007. Sticker on the car when ordered was 32,200.00 options include: Dark Silver metallic paint, Audio Package, Convenience Package, Premium Package, Sport Package, Anthracite Headliner, Limited Slip Differential, Auto Theft Alarm, Power Folding Mirrors, Piano Black Interior Trim, Parking Distance Control, Navigation System, White Turn Signals, If that wasn't enough, iPod Interface, JCW Aero Kit & JCW Suspension installed prior to delivery. The JCW parts added $4235.00 to the Sticker price. Now heres the good part, after taking delivery the car had the following mods done: Alta Mods: Downpipe and Turbo back Black Exhaust, Stepped Intercooler, Boost Tubes & Turbo Tubes, Cold Air Intake, Alta MCS/JCW Blow Off Valve Spring Upgrade. Other engine mods: M7 Aerogel Turbo Heat Shield, Craven Speed Billet Dip Stick. Then inside the car a JCW Shift Light, Craven Short Shift Kit. Matching Craven Black Emergency Brake Lever, I also had the rear interior done with DynaMat, Black Billet Lighter Plug, and an Alta Alum Shift Knob. Mini Winter Matts finish off the Interior. For Shoes the car has 17" OZ Ultraleggera Black Rims, with Falken 215 45Z R17 91W, For stopping this little beast Wilwood Red FSL Calipers and 13" Cross drilled Rotors are on the fronts. Included is 2 extra sets of Wilwood Brake pads. On the back end Wilwood Red Parking Brake Kit with 11.75 Cross drilled Rotors. Besides the JCW upgraded Suspension,Craven Speed Strut Tower reinforcing Plates, Hotchkiss Sport Upper and Lower Rear Control Arms were added. On the outside of this little fun machine the following was done: All the exterior Chrome was removed, Headlights, Taillights, Side Scuttles, Emblems have all been Dechromed. Also added to the exterior is an M7 Vortex Hood Scoop, M7 Ultimate Grill Set Upper and Lower, and a M7 Stubby Billet Antenna. No expenses was spared to make this Mini the Ultimate. Everywhere I go Mini Owners comment on how different it looks. Feel Free to ask any questions you have. I purchased this car from the original owner in 2010 with only 5400 miles on the odometer!! It has been garage kept since new. Currently it has 34,500 miles on the odo. It has been adult owned (I'm over 50), never raced, never on a track, as a matter of fact I have never done a burn out. All maintenance done by Orlando Mini, it is current and all recalls have been preformed. I am the second owner, I did have the rear bumper cover repainted last year because it had a few scratches on it. Never been in an accident. No body filler ever!! The car has 2 small parking lot dings and a very small scratch on the roof. Please look at the photos, this car is in unbelievable condition for a 7 year old Mini. You won't be sorry, Everything Works, Car needs Nothing. Get in and enjoy. Classic Rover Mini is a passion-inspiring plaything
Sun, 01 Sep 2013Ask anyone that's driven a classic Mini, and they'll probably tell you that their first reaction to driving it was a lot like the start of this video - whooping, shouting, laughing and a whole lot of smiling. This video, from Jon Quirk, editor-in-chief at Auto Trader UK, highlights the connection between him and his Rover Mini Paul Smith. He really nails the man-machine interface that makes owning a great car so much fun. Besides that, Quirk does a good job of enumerating what is so enjoyable about driving a fun car on a twisting road.

Major Alexa deal will bring Amazon services into more cars
Wed, Jan 9 2019Amazon and its personal assistance service Alexa are partnering with HERE Technologies to create a new connected mobility service powerhouse. Alexa will integrate with HERE's navigation and location services to offer what the two companies are calling a "true voice-first-navigation experience." Alexa will come pre-integrated with HERE navigation on-demand, which the automakers can then enable, which should help cut down on development time. One of the biggest features from this partnership is how directions could be offered and delivered using HERE's Open Location Platform (OLP). Currently, the OLP uses data from several car manufacturers to provide insights into real-time location and traffic. But on Alexa, this could be used to provide directional context. For example, Alexa could say, "Turn right after [such-and-such a building]" rather than just, "Turn right." Amazon has been testing the automotive waters throughout the past decade. Its home-based Alexa-enabled devices are already offered with connections to several manufacturers. To various degrees of integration, it can already pair with Ford, Genesis, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai and BMW vehicles. At the end of 2018, Amazon took things a step further when it introduced the Echo Auto, a Bluetooth-connected Alexa assistant device that can be physically kept in a car. Currently only available by invitation (its production and distribution have been delayed), the $25 device is essentially a voice service that works together with smartphones and connects to a car's speakers. Users can command it to do a variety of things, including playing music, setting navigation, opening the garage door, finding local stores, making calls, setting reminders, and thousands of other "skills." According to The Verge, nearly 1 million people have already ordered the device. Some (well, probably few) may know HERE Technologies from its maps on Windows Phones. We all know how that turned out, though. Today, HERE has expanded into a multi-function suite that is available in multiple mediums, including many automotive applications. HERE Automotive's connected vehicle services include real-time traffic, parking, weather, fuel prices, hazard warnings, traffic sign integration, and even EV charging stations. These all incorporate and extend the use of HERE's location and tracking programming. HERE is already partnered with BMW, Audi, Daimler, Intel, Mobileye, NVIDIA, and has investments from Bosch, Continental and Pioneer.
2014 Mini John Cooper Works GP
Fri, 16 Nov 2012About three weeks prior to this brief yet balls-to-the-wall drive on the Spanish island of Mallorca, I saw that Mini USA announced pricing for the keenly anticipated Mini John Copper Works GP. And that number would be - *a-hem* - $39,950 for starters.
I am always intent upon finding the pinnacle of what a certain car promises me, and almost at any cost. Almost. When I think "steaming hatchback," I think of something exactly like this Mini GP, and the steep price doesn't squelch my pleasure. They're only building 2,000 of them anyway, and the units coming to the US will start arriving in owners' hands on March 16 of next year. These buyers will be extremely happy and remorse-free.
