Mg Td 1953 Mark Ii on 2040-cars

I purchased this car from the estate of D. A. Rinehart  in April 2011.  At that time it had 33,640 miles.  It had already had a restoration of the drive chain (motor, transmission, and differential). I have done a body-on restoration (at the advise of my expert mechanic).  This includes complete strip and paint of body, fenders, and doors. Etc.  I replaced the exhaust system, inside panels, generator, spark coil, and tires.  I made a new mahogany steering wheel, shift knob, and veneer dash.  The doors were refitted, rugs replaced, etc . The brakes and Luvax-Girling shocks were replaced. I was not able to fit the new curtains very well. A new tonneau cover was fitted.  It starts well, runs tite and steers well.

This is a Mark II model, which features dual fuel lines and pumps, larger carburetors and valves as well as additional Andrex shocks.  There was only 1710 produced total and only 226 in 1953.
