!955 MG TF 1500 LHD Rare opportunity to buy one of these very low production (3600) MG roadsters for restoration. Five years ago this car was a very nice older restoration (done in my shop in Northern California in in the late sixties) and was being refurbished for sale after the owner stopped driving. While work was in progress, a shop fire damaged the paimt and some trim. The car was NOT in the fire area, but the radiant heat below the insulated ceiling took its toll. During the work, three pieces of ash in the wood body framing were found to need replacement and those pieces (and new floorboards) are included but not installed. Always being a California car, there is absolutely no body or chassis rust. The original 48 spoke double laced wheels were replaced during the original restoration with the 60 spoke triple laced wheels that became available for Triumphs. A Moss Motars tan leather interior kit was being professionally installed at the time of the fire and the seats - being away from the car are as new. Most chrome polishes up well, but some items like bumpers, were only fair. Top and side curtains were stored away from the car. The foam padded roll above the dash and the (replacement ) wood rim steering wheel suffered.damage from the heat. The car was running at the time of the fire. The car has its original XPEG 1466 cc engine with original carbs and air cleaners.

Advancing age tells me I should sell rather than doing the work in-house, but some of the parts needed will be available from stock at an advantageous price. Both buy-it-now and reserve prices will be under $13,000
