1976 MGB Roadster with 66660 miles.

When I bought this car it was hardly drive-able and I have spent my time fixing and upgrading this car to make it a daily driver. New tires and rims were first (original rims go with it and are in good shape). All the cross-member bushings were replaced and a new steering rack were installed. New brake pads all the way around with new hardware on the rear drums and repaired the e-brake. Twin SU carbs ,although not original, work fantastic. Petronic Electronic ignition with new distributor installed and make for much more reliable starting and smoother acceleration. AC Delco Alternator is new replacing the old Lucas alternator and is much more reliable. All rubber fuel lines were replaced along with the fuel pump and the gas tank is also new. Pollution control pump has been removed for more power. Both seat belts have been replaced. Carpet has been installed in the trunk and rubber MG floor mats are new. The car runs great now but has a slight click in the rear end which I understand is caused by a "thrust washer" which only purpose as I understand it is to stop this click noise . It will not cause a breakdown and is fine to drive it just makes a click noise once when starting out in first gear. I also replaced the electric overdrive switch on the steering column. The overdrive is a very desirable option on these cars since they are geared low.

What's left to do? The car needs body work. There is a crease in the trunk lid (pictured), the rear bumper must be resprayed since a gas spill ate the paint off near the fill cap (pictured) and the rocker panels need work (pictured). There is a small crack in the windshield behind the inspection sticker. The original top should be replaced. I never worried about it because I always kept the car in the garage and only took it out on sunny days but the top will shed the rain, its just starting to get tatty. Comes with a cockpit tonneau cover and a bikini bra for the top when its folded down. Also comes with MG license plate brackets, "MG Parking Only" sign, the shop manual, an MG shop stool and a MG shop fender protector along with various other original parts that were removed from the car. It also comes with a car cover.
