Rare, early 1963 MGB Mark I with good bones that is solid, original, and complete minus engine and some interior. The early Mark I was different (and more rare) from later Mark I's, II's, and III's. They lacked side lights (for a cleaner look), had the early transmission with non-syncro first gear and 3 main bearing 18G engine, had early style exterior and interior door latches, etc. From a collectible perspective they are harder to find and thus more valuable (especially Model Year 1962 and 1963). This is one of seven (the rest are Mark II's and III's) owned by a recently deceased Two Star General and retired Air Force test pilot. His widow has asked me to sell his entire collection.

The body is solid other than some non-structural lower body rust (see pics). Body Number is a low 013301. Doors still open and close solidly. Glass is good and windows roll up and down properly. Most trim is there. Ancient signs of a minor fender-bender on the right front fender (see pics). Inner panels were untouched and all inner fenders are rock solid with zero sign of rust or repair ever. Left rear bumper vertical was once tapped into rear trunk panel. Light bondo layer has flaked off revealing minimal nature of damage (see pics). Trunk and undercarriage are extremely solid (I have many pics of both, please ask for them). Hood looks to be NOS (New Old Stock) and is in great shape.

Interior dash is mostly complete and all original other than steering wheel. Seat frames are included and can be salvaged. I have pics of all extra interior bits that come with the car. Floor pans have some rust only in flat, easily repairable areas. And entire floor pan replacements are very inexpensive in the aftermarket if you choose to go that route. Transmission and battery cover, shift boot, speaker box, brake pedal and miscellaneous bits are all included (see pics). Plus it has a cool, snap-on, zippered boot that covers the entire passenger compartment (see pics). All wiring also still looks good.

Running gear is all there other than engine and radiator. Transmission, driveshaft, exhaust system, air filters, heater unit, engine compartment panels, brake master cylinder and miscellaneous bits are all included (see pics). Transmission goes through the gears properly. And again, I have extra pics of everything so please ask for them. All wiring everywhere on the car still looks good. Car rolls and steers very easily too. Tires hold air well but are aged.

My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. And as you know, I have tons of pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail in addition to all the extra parts. My Ebay pics only scratch the surface. Send me your email address and I'll get them to you. Also, as of yet we haven't found any paperwork so it's best to assume this will be a Bill of Sale only transaction. If we find anything, I'll amend the description. This 1963 MGB Mark I is located in the dry, desert community of St. George, Utah (a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Thank you very much for your interest.
