This is a rust free (with the exception of surface only rust in the trunk, I chose not to remove this rust to hide anything, it is easily removable and pictured below) 1980 MGB. This is the last year of the MGB and will be sure to become a collector's item. Note: Most people think a 1965 Mustang is a classic rare collectible vehicle, but did you know that More 1965 Mustangs were sold in one year, 1965, than all 19 years of the MGB production run!!
This car was originally purchased in Texas and then brought to Arizona, where it has remained till this day. I am the third owner. It runs and drives, but needs a new home. I have too many project cars and I need more room, thus it will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of final price! NO RESERVE!!! If you are at all interested, you should bid now as you could win this vehicle with a single bid! Clear Arizona Title. This car has no rust in the quarter panels, no rust in the rocker panels, no rust on the floor or under the doors. Surface rust only in trunk, see pictures. I have tried to be as accurate as possible in my description, please ask any questions and if you want additional pictures, please include your email address as I have maxed out the Ebay photo limit.
If you from back east/ north then you have probably never seen one of these in this condition, no rusted metal to replace, at ALL!
The front brake lines were replaced about two weeks ago. If you have one of these and your body is SHOT, then you need this car as the foundation of your build! It is so original that it has the smog pump and all injector pipes, spare matching wheel, and spare tire tools, tonneau cover and all the braces and it even has the original bags for those items! Tires have lots of tread life left. I even have receipts going back to the original owner. The engine was replace several years ago along with the clutch, but all the stock equipment appears to be on the vehicle. I have the original long block engine that I will let you have for an additional $100. The service receipts from the first owner have the serial number on them, so I know that the long block is original! If you want a British Sports car, this is your opportunity to get one Cheap!
I will be posting a utube link showing it starting and running and also a walk around video of the body.
What it needs:
TLC! This is a very original car and it has never been restored, so after 33 years it needs attention to such things as gas and temperature gauge not working, driver's door opens from outside but not from inside, the top is old and needs to be replaced, but it is all there and very simple, it needs a new battery, but it runs and drives...I took the battery out of one of my other cars on the video and you'll see how easy it starts and runs. The radiator has a small leak, but should be replaced because it is bent underneath, like some one towed it and the chain bent the thin brass tank. It was stored in a garage for the last 12 years and was used as a lean too, so the passenger and driver fenders have dents, but not from an accident, see the pictures.
I have tried to describe this car as accurately as possible, but if you have questions, please ask! and ask early so that I have time to respond. I am NOT a DEALER and I have a real job and cannot access ebay from work so ask early!
