1979 MB MBG purchased from a military doctor in Macon, GA. almost four years ago. He has spent over $6700.00 in repairs and upgrades. I have all of his upgrades and repair bills. He did such things as new fuel pump, new battery, replaced fan switch, new radiator, valve cover gasket and adjustment of valves, new lower control arm bushings, new fuel pump, new carb and conversion kit. These are just the major expense items. He did lots of minor replacements and repairs that made it an even better purchase. He also had new wire spoke wheel installed (this alone cost $2,078.30). He told me he had only driven it about 300 miles totally since he had owned it.

When I purchased it, this little baby only had 30069 miles on it. It now has a grand total of 30695. That means that I have put 626 miles on it in 4 years! That's about 157 miles per year. I drive it usually monthly to keep everything running smooth. Oh yes, in addition to what was spent on the MB shortly before I purchased it (which was $6700.00), I have also spent an additional $4500.00 in upgrades to it. Such things as a new paint job matching the original color, new carpet, luggage rack, new rubber and moldings, new tires, new boot kit, tie rods, wheel cylinders, axle seals, master brake cylinder, stainless steel brake hoses, hazard switch, sending unit, etc.,etc.,etc. It comes with all of the original tools and covers except for the top.

This car is not a lemon nor a piece of junk! It is a beauty! Runs smoothly and no oil leaks. You touch the ignition switch and it fires right up and idles as smooth as a baby's behind!

Everyone always wants to know why I am selling it. Frankly I don't really know except I don't drive it and my garage (according to my wife) is over crowded since it has always been garaged kept. There is just my wife and I at home and we own 5 cars. I would just like to keep this little MG and look at it, but we plan to downsize in the next couple of years and that means a smaller place to keep my toys.
