You are bidding on a 1977 MGB Mark III. This is a garage kept solid original 18,011 mile car that has undergone a considerable upgrade restoration. My 1000+ hour effort was never intended to produce a “Show Car”, but rather to end up with a car that shows and drives well. Too many new replacement parts to list here ($2,800), but I have all the receipts.

Note worthy items include: New Radiator, distributor, coil, water pump, all hoses, exhaust manifold pipe and muffler, trunk carpet, interior carpet, (door, trunk and hood) seals, Special Edition seat renovation, center counsel and more.

This 37 year old original Phoenix car has no body rust inside or out, and during its restoration Rhino lining paint was applied to the already rust free interior floor panels and trunk area as added assurance against any corrosion. Dynamat sound insulation was applied to the entire transmission tunnel and 3/8 inch thermal/sound padding was put down before the new carpet installed. All gauges, including the original clock, work as intended. A car alarm was installed and the only known defect is the cigarette lighter which does not work, but which also speaks to the complete lack of smoking in this vehicle. Very little factory undercoating has chipped off the under carriage.

The car comes with the Soft top (A-, one snap missing), Zipper Tonneau cover (A+), Boot cover (A+), and Removable Hard Top (B+, needs fitting and seals, but outside, inside, and glass are near perfect.).

All tires are at 95% of new and attention to detail was applied to the special edition wheels with MGB center caps and valve stem caps. The hood and trunk lids have been upgraded with dual gas strut openers and the hood has been fully insulated. Included are replacement parts that I have purchased which are still in the original packaging, and also included is a spare working carburetor for future support if the need arises. The smog pump remains on the car, however the injection rail has been removed and the pump now serves as an air blower for added cooling over the exhaust manifold and CAT Converter. Exclusive to this car is the designed and fabricated “cool air” engine intake and K&N air filter system. All in all, you won’t find a better cared for classic MGB.
