When I purchased the car, I believe I paid 2500.00 for it. I could not get it out of the driveway as it started hard and the breaks were completely gone. When I got it home there was also an electrical problem preventing the battery from staying charged. I rebuilt the master brake cylinder and put new breaks pads all around. That fixed the break issue. I purchased a new battery and alternator just to find out that the bulb in the dash was out. With this bulb out, there was no signal to the alternator to tell it to charge the battery, With that fixed, I went after the motor. It appears to be rebuilt with great oil pressure. I cleaned the carburetor, adjusted the points and set the timing and lifters. I feel the engine is very solid but it can be a harder started when its warm but I understand that is typical with the type of carburetor that it has (original manufacturer). I then purchased a new soft top and replaced some other molding. The car sat a bit low so I completely replaced the rear leaf springs and all the rubber bushings in the front and back. It goes down the road straight. The rubber tires are great but they are not the original size rims or tires. I liked them a bit bigger so I never changed it. There is a bit of rust above the rear wheels.

All in all we have had a lot of fun with this car and the strongest asset is the engine that has good compression on the cylinders

What's left? The emergency break does not work (I have driven it allot without it) and I have never worked on the heater as I just us it in the summer and never needed it.

I am sure I have put in over 2,000.00 into it and I would love to see someone else finish it.
