1969 MGB Mk II  Dressed in Black on Black, full chrome, wire wheels and all original and unmolested. No better proper 60's English sports car is to be had. One slight problem though, It's not running! That's very sad because she so deserves to be. The 69 has been in storage for many years, I don't know if it was running when put in storage?  I purchased the car from a guy that was going to restore it and never did, due to time and other projects and that is my story too.  I am currently doing a full restoration on an Austin Healey and making a MGB-GT rally racer. That is going to keep me busy in my spare time for years and that is why I am letting her go. Some good restorer needs to get her back on the road.  All the glass is good, same goes for the tires, wheels and plastic and lights. Paint is original and tired, lots of antique lines on hood and trunk.  I think because of the Texas heat on a black car.  She was from Texas, (see sticker in photo) but spent years out east too and got some under carriage rust there. The chrome is really pretty good for it's age and does not need messed with it at all, unless you want a # 1 show car.  I understand I am the forth owner with myself and the previous owner just storing it in a garage for future restoration.

The Car has the original AC..wow, that would be neat to get that working again, don't see that too often. Full wire spare and original tool bag with jack, etc. The soft top is too far gone and needs to be replaced, but has a decent tonneau cover and top cover, even a luggage rack if you want one.  Original leather seat are ok, but the passengers side seam is spit, could probably be repaired? The dash is like new.  I have to say, I like the 69's style better than the steel dash cars.  I had a 67 MGB and that is supposed to the "best" year, but I like the 69 lots better, it's just cooler, love the three wipers.   All that said, this car needs to be totally gone through, sorted and running again. It will take some time, parts and money along with pans and inner rocker and maybe some other metal work underneath, a previous owner did some temporary patching of the floor pans, but it really should be done properly.  The engine is free and it rolls proper and has/ holds all it's fluids. It also has been converted to a single 12 volt battery system.  All seem well enough for a good restoration and that is why I purchased it in the first place and
the reward of restoring it will be great, well worth it and a good investment.  I having some experience with this having owned ten at one time.  Average sales for the 69 are over 11K with #2 cars getting over 19K and the trend is up.  So you can see this is worth restoring and have lots of value room for restoration. If you can do lots of the work yourself, so much the better. You can see I am not trying to sugar-coat it, if you won't have some more money to put into it and are not experienced with classic British sports cars, then this is not your car.  I make no guarantees, I am basically just passing it along with the hopes that it finds a good home and gets restored and on the road again.  That's why it is a NO RESERVE auction and a low opening bid.  Someone will get a good classic 60's MGB for very little money and a fun project.   Engine # is 18GFWEH12356  Commission # is GHN4U/175169

If you love "B's" like I do and always wanted a good classic 60's chrome one to redo... you have just found it.  Happy bidding.    I'll answer any question and the car is available for inspection.   Thanks, Matt
