In 1980 my best friend for his 16th birthday got a worn out 61 MGA. For 33 years since I've wanted one. Two months ago I bought the car pictured here. Guess what, I don't fit in my dream car (yes I'm a bit wider than I was when I was 16) and so its for sale to free up the garage space. I bought the car from a long time owner out of Oklahoma City. He restored the car n the early nineties, lovingly drove it until the late 90's then parked it due to divorce and then health issues. Since I've owned it I've drained the gas, rebuilt the carbs and brakes and installed a new carpet set. I'm not an MG expert, but would describe the car as an above average driver. Please understand that the pictures make the car look stronger than it is. The 20+ year old paint is showing many scratches, especially on the passenger side front fender. I think that the over all quality of the core of the car is sound in that the paint shows no rust bubbles or paint shrinkage from poor prior body work/rust repair. The 20+ year old top shows no cracks or tears (in the picture it is not secured tightly so the wrinkles appear worse than they really are). The trunk is nicely detailed, but the spare tire is painted not chrome. Body wise the doors need to be further adjusted and both have small dents along with a dent in the front bumper. The car runs exactly like I remember Jeff's running and is a blast to drive. Not a high point show car by any means, but is a great driver that will bring a smile as you drive her.
