1961 MGA- I purchased this MGA from my father who started to restore it in the mid 90's. He had the engine rebuilt, frame off paint and body work, new wiring harness and parked it until I purchased it in 2011. Since then I have been putting the finishing touches on it. I had the interior done, rechecked all the mechanicals and electrical, and pretty much put an incomplete project back together to get it back on the road. The car runs, drives, shifts and performs great but it is not a museum piece. It would be a great weekend driver, I would give it a 7 out of 10. The restoration took place here and there over the last 20 years but I have pictures of every step and every receipt for everything that was done. Since I have owned it I put less than 500 miles on it. Now the bad... There are leaks here and there- there is a slight oil leak and transmission leak but they seem to slow dramatically if I drive the car for a few days. It sits at my mothers house and I drive it once a year when I visit but she starts it every week and drives it around her neighborhood. The rear fenders are from an earlier model, they came on the car when my dad purchased it, I'm not sure of the back story. Also the windshield has a small crack in the corner.
