This brilliant, charming restored 1951 MGTD has had 2 owners. In 1951, a young couple purchased this car from Les Harkins Motors and they continued to own it for almost 60 years. This MGTD went through a fanatical, frame off, show level restoration. Sadly, Mr. Davis, one of the original owners passed away - this car could not have received more attention from it's loving owners, Mr. & Mrs. Davis. The restoration was finished by professionals resulting in a fresh cosmetic restoration in 2005. This car is fully documented including the original purchase agreement, finance agreement, receipts, photos from 1951 and files of receipts and materials relating to the history of the car. Absolutely nothing was left undone or untouched. The car was restored utilizing many/most of the original components. There are no inexpensive aftermarket parts on this car and any of the re-plating and refurbishing of component parts is show quality. This car is stunning and with it's loving history and documentation would make a wonderful addition to a museum, or personal collection. It is a "no excuses" example that is ready for shows, parades, or simply enjoyed for special occasions. Since completion of the restoration, the car has been entered in shows and won two first place and two second place trophies.

This car was purchased from The Davis Family in 2005. The car was shipped from CA to NJ. Since 2005, this MGTD has resided in NJ. The car has remained brilliant and charming while receiving gentle care and admiration. The car is garage kept in a bubble capsule and has been driven a handful of times through it's quiet, suburban neighborhood for enjoyment.

This is a very loved and special MGTD. The combination of superb restoration, ownership history and documentation puts this car in a class of its own. The volume of materials prevents showing all of the documentation/information. However, additional details and copies of original documents will gladly be provided to serious interested buyers.
