This is the car from the "Spridget Project" website where over the past couple years the objective was to assemble all the parts and do the necessary mods to build what may be considered the ultimate street legal Spridget. Times and priorities change and the part enjoyed most, the conceptualization and engineering, are complete...all that remains is the assembly and enjoyment of the finished car.

To that end, the Spridget Project is offered for sale with hopes that the dream Spridget will soon hit the street and bring lots of enjoyment to the owner and all the folks he/she encounters.

The component inventory is extensive and presented herein as well as the price paid for each item. The total, including engine, is $24,466. NOTE - the total cost to date does NOT include the countless hours invested in the project nor the cost of specialized equipment procured nor the cost of many small pieces of hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, sheet metal, welding supplies, etc.).

There is less interest at this point with final price realized and more focus on the Spridget Project going to someone that will see it through assembly, a relatively simple process compared to what has gone before, and enjoyment of the finished car.

Additionally, many hundreds of digital photos that document EVERY aspect of the build are available; these will be provided without condition to the new owner. Also, receipts for all parts and services will accompany the sale.

A NOTE CONCERNING THE ENGINE - Most anyone involved with Brit Cars in the US over the last 25 years, whether collectors, racers, or hobbyists, will immediately recognize the name of Hap Waldrop of ACME Speed Shop in Greenville, SC. Hap's love for and success in SCCA Racing over the years led him to embrace it professionally and he has become known as a preeminent engine builder. The arrangement with Hap was simple...build the finest "A" Series engine possible, no limits...other than it be able to run on pump gas. That he did, and with mastery. The detailed list of parts and services are provided herein and a complete build photo essay with descriptions will accompany the sale.
