I bought this car as a surprise for my wife, but she didn't like it - "Too unrefined" - thus I am selling it with a price to get it out of my garage fast, and make room for something else. The car is in quite good original, unrestored condition. Before I presented it to her, I had the carb removed, cleaned, and a complete tune up done (plugs, wires, oil change, coolant etc.) Also put 4 brand new tires on, and a brand new battery, solenoid, and key switch. The seats have no rips or tears. The doorpanels look like new. All the lights work. There is VERY little rust of any kind on this car. The trunk is completely solid. The entire underside was well-undercoated back in the day, and it looks fine. There is no rust on the doors, or on the jambs. The plastic window on the back of the top is yellowed, cracked and basically not there. The rest of the top is ok. There is a great condition boot to cover it, as well as a second boot that covers the seats as well when the top is down (it has a zipper down the middle. If you know MG's, you know what I am talking about). This car starts right up, the clutch works fine, all the gears work fine, it drives nice. It corners well. There was a set of new tie rod ends in the truck when I bought it. You can keep them. Also there was a set of new brake pads in the trunk, you can keep them too. Original jack, original manuals. The only evidence I can see of any bodywork on this car is on the passenger fender. I sanded down two small spots to see what was up, and have very thinly re-skimmed the area with some bondo to protect it. If I was keeping it, I'd just sand this small patch down and paint it red. You get to fix it however you want.... I am selling this car to the first person who shows up with $1999. This is a good price, with zero room to negotiate. Look at the pics, email me with any questions. It is worth more than this. If you don't want to buy it for this price, don't bother me. Don't show up, complain about something and offer a hundred bucks less. It is what it is, take it or leave it. No warranty, it runs fine but I've put less than 100 miles on it since I got it. The odometer is slightly less than 38K on it. The guy I bought it from said it was original, but I can't verify this.
