1975 Mg Midget Mk Iv Convertible 2-door 1.5l on 2040-cars
Year:1975
Mileage:750
Location:
Los Angeles, California, United States
This is a restored 75 Midget. Its an honest 1975 rust free car (no smog in california!) was picked up in the desert last year. This car is an excellent driver, runs beautiflly, looks amazing and always gets lots of looks and comments. I have any pictures of the tear down to show the condition of the floor pan and all the corners.
Everything has been gone through. Suspension has had every bushing replaced with poly, Frontline suspension/tube shock kits front and rear, all 4 shocks are adjustable, sitting on brand new tires on the original rims. Cooling system has upgraded 3 row radiator, new waterpump, all hoses, heater valve with cable added to control heater from inside car. Transmission has new bearings syncros and gaskets, engine has had a refreshing including flat top high compression pistons, APT performance cam, 4-1 exhaust header with new exhaust system, and a dual carb upgrade (HS4's from the euro 1500), and a hi amp alternator. Brakes have also been gone through, wheel cylinders, rebuilt calipers, all the hoses, new tapered wheel bearings, brake master cylinder, clutch master and slave. The interior has brand new carpet and a rebuilt speedo with a new cable. 4 new speakers and a mechless head unit (no CD player, sd card slot/USB and AUX input, AM/FM radio) LED footwell lighting and upgraded H4 headlamps with the new grill make the front of the car clean and simple, the upgraded headlights work very well and have built in LED turn signal indicators/running lights. All gauges and accessories work. The top has a little yellowing in the corners of the plastic windows, but they are still very clear otherwise. The top is a 7 outa 10, it is an older top and it has shrunk slightly. Leaving it in the sun for a few minutes it closes up nicley. The head rests are sunbaked, normal for these cars, and there is a very small tear in the center of the drivers seat. This is probably repairable. The foam is in decent shape still in both seats and the drivers seat has new webbing underneath. Both seats are still supportive and comfortable. The speaker panel in the rear needs to be covered in vynal or something. Those are the only downsides. It has a tonneau cover with new zippers, and a seperate convertible top/boot cover of you dont want to use the tonneau. This car is an awesome driver, painted with in the last year it looks fantastic. The upgrades are tasteful and actually improve the car. The added power makes it more lively and the suspension upgrades tighten it up where it needed it. Every system and component on this car has been gone through, down to the door locks and the jack in the truck This is a turn key get in and drive car that will put a huge smile on your face. Clean title, 2 sets of keys. Im outa space and its time to move this beast down the road to the next happy owner! |
