1967 MG Midget... Sorry to let this go but it is one of three projects I have going. The good.. It is incredibly original. In 2007 it had an engine rebuild and the burgundy paint job. Also the ailing twin SU carbs were ditched in favor of the Webber 2 barrel. A custom 3 into one header and Monza exhaust system was put on, she growls like an alley cat. I put in some Lucas High performance ignition parts and restored the shifter and linkage cover. I ordered a rag top to put on but never got around to it, I will include it in the sale. I pulled the front and rear bumpers to get them ready for chroming, but I like them off so never got it done (they are included too). This car gets a ton of attention wherever you go, but there is some bad. The Speedometer didn't work when I got it so I ordered a new one but the cable didn't match up so that will need to be addressed. The mileage is a best guess, the fellow I got it from stated the old one died at 32K in 09. He also stated he put about 1.5K a year on it, its an approximation. The front of the hood has a pinky size hole and bubbling in the paint along the edge. There is also bubbling on both sides around the wheel arches that should be addressed before to long. There a couple of small chips but the paint job definitely passes the ten foot test. She starts right up like a new car, but its a manual choke machine so she has to warm up before you take her out. There is zero rust in the under carriage unlike most MG's from this era. Not much of a top end car, but she is quick and loves the turns. I will assist however I can in the transfer of ownership. Hate to do this, but one of my other projects is an Alfa Romeo, the Italians are difficult and demand a great deal of attention. I never get to touch the MG any more and I cant stand the idea of it not getting the attention it deserves. I will consider a reasonable offer if its made. This also comes with an original Robert Bentley workshop manual, a rare and expensive book.
