Up for auction is a 1968 MGB in what I would call "good driver condition" . I'm selling the car as I just don't have time due to other projects. Much work was done the previous owner so please take time to read the auction in full.

Heritage: I'm told that this is a numbers matching car and I have done my research online and believe it to be so but you would need to do your own research to ensure that is the case.The commission number is GHN3 007311 F, the Vin number is GHN4U 150949 G and the engine number is 18GF - WE - H 10016. The reference materials used to verify that the car is a true numbers matching car other than the web are listed below. Again, the only absolutely way to know is to order a Heritage Certificate from England ( takes about 30 days and cost around $120 ).

Mechanicals: The car runs and drivers out very great with no know issues. A huge sum of dollars have been spent on the Mechanicals so you have no issues driving the car just about any distance. I was told by the previous owner that he rebuilt the engine, carburetors, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder and front suspension about 1500 miles ago. As you can from the photos during the engine rebuild the engine compartment was nicely restored as well. The car holds about 50 - 60 lbs. oil pressure when warm at idle. The transmission works well ( Non - synchronized 2nd gear ) . The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear. The clutch peddle is strong as are the brakes. The hand brake works very well. The car was just serviced with new plugs, oil change, new fuel pump, coolant was drained / flushed and new coolant added.

Electrical's: This area looks very solid. The head lights work ( high beam and low beam ), wipers work, blower fan works ( but the dash switch needs to be replace as its weak and does not always engage the fan ), brake lights work, front and rear directional lights work, front and rear running lights work, dash gauge lights work, hazard switch works, horn works and the license plate lights work.

Interior: The interior is overall very good condition ( see photos ). It has very nice seats, door panels and door caps. Very good serviceable carpet. All glass is original Triplex. The dash is in overall good shape but does have two repairs on top of the dash ( they don't show up well in the photos ).

Exterior: The paint is of driver quality but would look much better in my opinion if was buffed out. The drivers side door looks to be the worst area of the paint ( not sure it shows in the photos ). There appears to be some filler in the passengers lower rock panel ( not sure how well it shows in the photos ) and some paint bubbles over the rear drives side wheel arch. The wire wheels really give the car that 60's vibe. The top is in very nice condition and was replaced last year.

Underbody: Yes there has been some repairs to the front floor pans and ( it is a 46 year old car so this should be expected ) and one small spot on one of the frame rails. The repairs are structurally sound but in my opinion where not done by a professional.

Trunk: The car comes with a spare tire and wire wheel. The car also comes with a very nice top cover and a newer car cover.
