RARE IMPORTED 1976 R.H. STEER MGB GT

FULLY REBUILT MOTOR/BARE METAL RESPRAY!!!

We are pleased to offer this extremely rare right hand steer 1976 MGB GT. We believe it is one of only a handful of these true right hand steer GT’s in the country. The current owner imported this car seven years ago after purchasing it from a relative in England. It has had the engine completely rebuilt and the paint stripped and redone. The engine compartment is beautifully detailed. The interior is original and only needs the seats and carpet redone to finish the car. The car has only been driven a little over 100 miles since the engine and paint was done.

 RESTORATION HIGHLIGHTS

• All trim on the car was removed and the body was stripped of all paint. A small amount of rust removed (rocker panels). Repainted with base/clear system and reassembled with new rubber seals, etc.
• The engine was completely rebuilt with .020” oversize pistons, new heavy duty main, rod and cam bearings, new dual timing chain and sprockets, new oil pump. Head surfaced and rebuilt with new valves.  
• The brakes were completely rebuilt.
• Oil changed in transmission and rear end. Rebuilt clutch hydraulics.
• Rebuilt carburetors.
• New water pump, thermostat, hoses, belt.
• Rebuilt distributer. New plugs, cap, wires, rotor, points, condenser.   
• New big bore stainless exhaust.
• New 14” x 6” charcoal Superlite wheels.

The motor was rebuilt (fully documented) by a restoration shop in Warren, Ohio that specializes in Triumphs and does show-quality work. It cost over $5000 and has just 100 miles on it. Please see their website at:

The paint was done by a local restorer and is excellent. The car was stripped to bare metal. It was virtually a rust-free car having never been exposed to snow and salt. Panels are all straight with great gaps. The paint is flat with excellent depth. There are no runs, orange peel, sanding scratches, etc.

The interior is original and unrestored. It is excellent except some of the carpet has been removed. If it were my car I would only recover the seats and install new carpet. The rest of the interior will look great with a good detailing. Both seats come with the car although only the driver’s seat is shown in the pictures.   

We are selling this great car on behalf of its current owner who is a long-time British car collector. The MGB GT has only been driven a a little over 100 miles since the motor was rebuilt and the car painted. This is a great opportunity to own a very rare right hand MGB GT. Classic British sports cars are appreciating nicely and this investment-quality example will certainly be worth more in the future!

REMEMBER!!!  Only bid or make an offer if you are certain you want the car and already have the means to complete the transaction. We accept bank wire ONLY. All the cars we sell are pre-owned cars and sold AS-IS. All Sales are final, no exceptions.

Deposit of $1000 must be made within 3 business days or less. Remaining balance must be paid in full within 7 days. We will help arrange shipping or we can pick up the high bidder from any local airport.

Vehicles are sold in "AS-IS" condition. 

A Pre-Purchase inspection (if desired) can be made however we must have an agreed-upon purchase price with a $1000 refundable deposit paid. We can recommend local places and provide you with options for your inspection if desired. We will also bring the car to the local inspection location free of charge. HOWEVER, All appointments must be made and payment method arranged prior to us delivering the car to the inspecting location.

All buyers must have pre-approved loans/financing or must be able to pay cash for the vehicle.  Financing must be secured prior to buying the car.

All buyers must register and pay applicable taxes in their home state. We collect no fees or taxes.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Seller reserves the right to end the listing early. Our cars are being offered for sale outside of the eBay system. Seller reserves the right to reject any and all bids or offers at all times.
