1978 MGB Convertable with rare Overdrive

This MGB is in great shape.

Has been well maintained and has a lot of new parts just in the last couple years.

Most of the suspension and steering bushings are new, which make this convertable drive very smoothly even at 65+ mph.

The MGB has the rare overdrive switch which makes it able to drive at those higher speeds without having to be at the 3.5K+ rpm range. This is essential if you want to use the car for more than just around town. With the overdrive it can now be used to drive anywhere you wish.

The car is mostly stock except for the weber carb upgrade, but the car does come will all the original intake and carb stuff if you want to put all that back on.

The car drives great, it was really only used as a summer driver on days that it could be driven with the top down.

The car starts, runs, turns and stops great, the clutch is in great shape and grabs as it should.

The odometer on the car shows 89,500 miles, the motor has been very well cared for with a top end rebuild in the past couple years. The car does not smoke on start-ups nor does it burn oil at an unexpected rate.

Don't be fooled with people claiming things like 40k miles, these cars only display 5 digits, so odds are it is actually 140k miles. In this case you can tell from the minimal wear on the seats, over all good condition of the car, and especially how straight the numbers line up (that is the best indicator, they are only straight once if they are crooked at all it means they have rolled over) that this car does indeed have under 100k miles.

I have taken a lot of pictures so take your time and enjoy them, they would be the best gauge of condition.

Car has new tires and is ready to drive today, it is actually still going to be driven on the nice days until it sells.

You can see the rare over-drive switch, all you have to do is once your on 4th gear and cruising, flick the switch and it will shift into over drive to get you better MPG and to prevent unnecessary wear on the motor.

Interior is in great shape

The car comes with a full size spare as well as a convertible top, convertible boot, and also the cover to cover the interior without having to go through the hassle of putting the top up on those nice summer days.

Car runs great with all the hoses and such in good reliable condition, ready to drive and enjoy.
