1959 Mga Coupe Original Colors Black Red, Fantastic Chrome on 2040-cars
Brooksville, Florida, United States
1959 MGA coupe, this car was restored in mid 80’s and then spent most of its life in a showroom collection as seen in the old photo. This car needs a pas side vent window knob, the two lower carriage bolts for the grill have not been installed, the correct trim around the windscreen and there is a slide in/slide out tool mark on the driver seat. It is my understanding the car was pulled off display and driven starting in 2007. The paint on the car is starting show it’s age with some small chips and the like, it still needs to be buffed on the trunk were the rack was, we prefer no rack so it was removed and is of course included. The paint shines deep and rich and the original color black/red really looks tasteful all gleaming and clean. We put a new period correct black headliner in it and diamond pleated the rear deck. This is a solid LBC with no rust issues, the lil’ car is solid and straight and all the chrome is excellent and bright. This car can be driven everyday and enjoyed, all the instruments work and the car runs at around 180 degrees. The car is 12v w/NEG ground and has electronic ignition. The car includes the garbage rack, a spare dellorto carb and header. Coupes are beginning to get noticed and ticking up in the market, huge potential for gain on this car. We love this charming lil’ car but we have six cars licensed and insured and there are just two of us. There is a document package that includes resto photo’s and a “Birth Certificate” from the British Motor Heritage Trust that lists this color combo as correct for this car. This is a fantastic lil’ driver coupe ! I may sell this car even if the reserve is not met so bid to win. Bank to bank transfer of funds or cash at the local bank. Clear Florida title in hand. This car is for sale locally so this auction may end early. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Please email any questions and thanks for looking. |
