 For auction is a very nice looking and great running MGA. I've had this car for 18 years and it has been garaged and kept in good mechanical condition the entire time. It has logged about 3000 miles a year mostly on weekends and on back country roads. The car is a pleasure to drive. It starts easily in all weather. The motor(rebuilt 40K ago) sounds as it should, has good oil pressure and pulls well. The suspension is tight and provides for a responsive and fun drive. The gearbox has no unusual noses or vibrations and shifts smoothly except when down shifting into 2nd gear. The clutch was replaced last year and the brakes have been recently reworked with new cylinders on the rear and new shoes all around. This MGA drives great on nearly new Pirelli tires and balanced wire wheels. In bad weather, the side curtains and vinyl top are easily installed and enable you to enjoy the car in almost all seasons. All the gauges, lights and electrics are in good condition and function nicely. The seats are in good condition and have been recently refoamed for a comfortable ride. The interior carpet, door panels and cockpit molding are all in good condition.The car has an alternator and oil cooler addition for improved performance.
     The exterior of the car looks good. It was repainted six years ago and the paint still shows well except for very minor nicks from regular driving. The bumpers and other chrome are in very good condition and were mostly replaced with the new paint job. The only rust on the car is two small holes, one on the front side of each rear inner fender.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed and you will never be embarrassed taking this MG to a car show. This is an honest driving MGA with good curb appeal and is being offered at a low reserve. Fly into Charlottesville, Virginia(CHO), and drive this beauty home.
