MGA. . .sleek. . .shiny. . .smooth. . .sporty. . .a true CLASSIC…from the "throaty exhaust" from the dual side-draft carburetors, to the respectable acceleration, this car is fun to drive. HOLIDAYS AROUND THE CORNER, THE PERFECT GIFT FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL! You can own and drive a True Classic Convertible! I proudly offer my best and favorite MG for sale: My 1958 MGA 1500 for $26,000 She has received a frame-off, nut and bolt, top quality professional restoration(2007-2008). The intent was to make her a "concourse quality" weekend driver. No expense was spared in making this a perfect 1958 MGA; as good as, or even better, than when she rolled off the assembly line. Every mechanical part was either professionally rebuilt or replaced. Every piece of chrome was replaced. All leather, convertible top, tonneau cover, side curtains, interior and carpets were replaced with top of the line, quality products. She received a top quality paint job and undercoating while disassembled. I think she's perfect, but of course she is offered subject to your complete inspection. Please, I will not sell to "foreign countries"...except Canada; I will not ship! I have sold several of my little collection to Canadians. There is paperwork on your end, but from me you only need the Pink Slip, a copy of the registration, and a bill of sale. I understand you have to "pre-insure" before crossing the border. Serious about owning a TRUE CLASSIC that is ready to drive anywhere? She won’t be on the market long… For questions, more information/history, and an appointment to see/inspect/drive/buy, please email, and include phone#, if you'd like me to contact you via phone. I am serious about selling at my asking price. In the condition she is in, I know she is worth a bit more…but better if this sale happens sooner than later…So if you are serious, I am. She looks and drives like a dream! She is worth more…in fun…and in future $$ too… -Yes, I would drive this car anywhere, anytime (except in the rain please, although she does have new top and side curtains). She is, and always has been, reliable. answers to questions : -Yes, more photos, I made a video of some shots of her on YouTube http://youtu.be/TDOiO_hC42k -I have only driven her about 200 miles a year, for the last 2 years, total of 3,800 since restoration…I tend to overly protect her because of her pristine condition...but, as I turn 65, I feel now is finally the time to downsize my little collection. Did I mention I have a passion for fine, classic MG’s. My 1958 MGA is by far the best of my collection. -Original color was light blue according to VIN. She is a dark green metallic...she looks almost black on a cloudy day (when I took photos yesterday), but a very rich green on a sunny day. I cannot find any trace of the original paint, she was stripped down and properly restored. -Yes, tan leather interior; Top of the line Stayfast Cloth top, side curtains and tonneau. -Yes, recent work: last spring I had her inspected by local garage. The mechanic’s only recommendation was a tune-up/valve adjustment (done); he also recommended a carb rebuilt sometime in the future. I had it done then; this car deserves to run perfect, and always has. -Yes, I have both a stock (like new) 16' steering wheel and the smaller "Monty" Moto-Lita style 14", which fits me better. I'm 6'/210, and although the stock wheel is ok, I like the smaller....your choice. -Wire Wheels, afraid not. I always wanted to have a set on her, but I shied at another $2000 investment, especially when I had what I wanted in the A already. I had already had them on my TD and B-GT, so decided to keep the A stock. I might be willing to lower the asking price a little, if you really want wire wheels. It was more of an issue to keep her original as possible. -Past paperwork...I’m sorry, I am the second owner since restoration and the paperwork was not sent with it from the original owner...'nothing I could do about it. I, and later my mechanic inspect every inch of her and the car's condition speaks for itself...she's perfect. I have paperwork for all work I have had done. -History I know: I purchased her from a “computer-dot-com’er” in Redwood City, CA. He purchased her from a Classics Restoration Garage, in CA. He rented her out for commercials and showed her, otherwise stored her in a controlled temp. warehouse, with his collection of classic cars. He didn't drive her much otherwise (less than 1k), always trailering her to events/photo shoots. When he was selling his collection of cars, I was the lucky one to read about the sale, and about her, and become her next owner. It cost $2k to ship her up here, via covered transport. I drove her a lot locally during the first years, but I had 5 other cars to drive, so she became my treasured “Queen” and show car the last few years...driving her only about 200 miles a year lately. -I use Haggerty Classic Insurance, full coverage, 0-deduct for stated/agreed value of $30k. It is very reasonable here in the U.S., however Canada may require more expensive coverage I understand. -Yes, I did install an AM/FM/IPOD radio, however it has a “blanking plate” that covers the unit at car shows. The speakers remove/install in 2 minutes. - Please, do compare prices…check MGA’s on eBay, this price is very reasonable for an MGA in this condition (and you can inspect before you buy, and no shipping costs either!!)…and she will only increase in value! -Yes, I would drive this car anywhere, anytime (except in the rain). She is, and always has been, reliable. SERIOUS, email me via ebay. |
