Vehicle is in fair condition and has rust, some dents on the hood, more extensive rust behind the drivers' side door and general body and paint wear due to its age and weather conditions. The motor runs great for the age and mileage, burns no oil but does have an exhaust leak. The drivers seat is quite worn(leather is extensively torn and wear-damaged.) Please view the photos and please ask any questions you may have, the aftermarket stereo has been removed and sold so there is NO radio in the vehicle. The vehicle is being sold and offered AS-IS with NO warranty. The vehicle is fully functional, all options work except for the AC, and would be suitable for short distance local driving or can be used for parts, depending on your needs. NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes
Mon, 18 Jul 2011Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15.
