Two 1992 Mercury Capri Convertibles. One with hard top and both have a soft top. Good tires on both and both cars do run. The one shown in the pictures with the soft top on it, was bought for parts for the other one but does run and could still be repaired. It has a hole in the drivers side floorboard (as pictured). Although the pictures of this car show the doors without the panels on them, the panels are here and come with the car. It has 107,539 miles on it. The other car, (pictured with the hard top) has 80,627 miles. The hard top on this vehicle has a couple dents and the liner is loose. Both have 1.6 liter engines with five speed manual transmissions. As you can see in the pictures, the clear coat over the paint is peeling on both vehicles in certain areas. There is only a spot for the VIN of one vehicle listed below so I will list the other one here: 6MPCT01Z5N8602475. This is the one pictured with the soft top on it. The cars come with one original radio and this is an AM/FM Cassette player. They also come with two aftermarket radios. One is a Kenwood, AM/FM CD player with removable face plate. Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls

Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue

A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

NHTSA closes probes on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey

The Detroit News reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed its investigations into 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2004-2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey models. The separate probes found no issues that pose safety concerns. NHTSA began investigating certain Grand Cherokee SUVs over complaints that power steering hoses could detach during operation, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. Of the 24 reports of failure, none alleged smoke or fire in the engine bay, and Chrysler has since modified the power steering cooler assembly to reduce the likelihood of the failure.
Meanwhile, certain Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles garnered a government probe after receiving complaints that the models were equipped with faulty scissor jacks. The agency had received six reports of the jacks failing or causing injuries, including one incident that resulted in a fatality. But NHTSA says the jack failure rate is similar to those found in other vehicles. In those six cases, the government agency found the jacks were being used for something other than changing a tire, and investigators could not determine whether the emergency brake was set or the rear tires were properly chocked.
