Been in my family 30 years. This is a super rare S-55.Two door bucket seats automatic with console.I got it about 8 years ago and tore into it.Paint, minor bodywork,re-chromed bumpers and other pieces.Slowly gathered parts and pieces here and there
to do the interior as well.I drove it very little and then replaced the tired 390 with another used 390 last summer.I loaned it to my ex and it managed to be lit on fire on the inside. The good news is I had the interior out and it did not mess with the wiring. The bad news is it bubbled the dash on the drivers corner a little.I hate seeing this car sit outside and thats what it's doing here.I'm into other projects. It's a running, driving project that comes with the majority of the parts and pieces to re-assemble.If you are a serious buyer and want more info my number is 206 234 7779.I reserve the right to end auction early.I will assist with shipping. This is an old car and I will try to remember all that it needs/had done.

-390 ci engine.4bbl carb.Ford big block headers(yes the rare ones worth like $1600.)Straight pipes,no mufflers.
-Rear window works but can be a bit slow
-Roof shows rust but grinding/blasting and some p.o.r. should handle that.
-There is some minor surface rust showing on re-chromed bumpers and wheels.Typical for a NW car that sits outside.
-Astro Supremes with thin white walls
-Lowered up front using heat-in the rear using blocks.Handles fine.
-Needs a power steering rack
-Comes with NEW or REDONE door panels, headliner, carpet, interior and exterior chrome pieces, roughly 10 yards of original vinyl for interior(if I can find it!) and EZ wiring harness.
-I also have other parts like 2 grills, door and other stuff.
-Brakes redone when I got the car as well.Should be good may need inspecting from sitting.

-No bidding unless you have more than 10 positive transactions. No refunds.$500 cash deposit via paypal due within 24 hrs of auction close.Remainder of balance via bank wire within 7 days,Do not bid unless you have the funds please.Serious buyers only. Not into time wasting.

Ford recalls 300,000 Crown Vics over lighting module

Wed, Dec 23 2015

The Basics: Ford is recalling 312,814 units of the Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis sedans from the 2003-2005 model years. They were built at the St. Thomas Assembly Plant between Oct. 3, 2001, and Aug. 2, 2005. Ford says 296,004 of those units are located in the United States, with another 14,714 in Canada and 2,096 in Mexico. The Problem: The solder joints on the lighting control module could crack, depriving the headlamps of the power they need to light the way ahead. That could increase the risk of a crash, particularly at night and in other low-visibility situations. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports that it is aware of 11 accidents that resulted from the problem, leading to one injury described as "minor." The Fix: The manufacturer is instructing dealers to replace the entire lighting control module. If You Own One: Make sure your headlights are working before getting under way. If they're not, avoid driving under low-light conditions, including at night, in heavy precipitation, or in fog. Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

Wed, 05 Jan 2011

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.
